      Very helpful

not overly different to original jaffa cake in taste

I saw these McVitie's Jaffa cake spooky mini rolls in my local tesco, I guess the halloween time has come knocking.
The rolls were on special offer of £1 (normally priced about £1.60 I think), for this you get 6 rolls.
I do think this is slightly expensive and probably wouldn't buy them if not on offer, as it works out abot 25p a roll.
McVities are a popular brand trading for many years, well known for there traditional jaffa cakes. These limited edition rolls are clearly marketed at children and parents buying treats for halloween door knockers.
The cakes come inindividual plastic wraps, inside a plastic tray, inside a nother plastic wrap; alot of plastic! However the individual wrappings make it easier for givng as treats and lunch boxes.
The wrap design is largely dark blue with orange/red spooky writing and halloween shapes and a spider web.

Each cake contains 102 claories, 13.7g of sugar, 3.1g fat, 1.7g saturates and 0.1g salt
On the back I like the 1-2-3 section they have.
1- eat healthy- this gives you a much more detailed breakdown of the nutrional contents of the rolls, alongside saying that snacks can be enjoyed as part of a healthy diet.
2 - keep active - gives you a website www.123healthybalance.com which shows how you can increase your activity levels.
3 - enjoy the tast - ingredients listings.
It may not be much but at least they seem to be trying to encourage a more active balance with diets and snacks.

On the wrapper they say "a goulish blend of dark crackly chocolate and light sponge with a scarily zingy orange centre."

So what do they taste like......
The outside dark chocolate is light and only a thin coving over the sponge beneath. It tastes of good chocolate and is not to overpowering for even me who is not that keen on dark chocolate.
The sponge is very soft and spongey, light in colour but quite plain in taste. In side the sponge set in a swirl is the zingy orange. It is quite zingy but there is not a great deal of it, a little more would have been nice.
Overall they do taste similar to jaffa cakes, just with more sponge.
