Advantages: Milka chocolate is lush!

Disadvantages: Daim bar has an acquired taste & texture!

My dad introduced me to the world of Milka chocolate a few months back as he'd noticed it in Sainsburys on offer and brought a few bars home. I was impressed by how chocolatey and rich it tasted without the cheapness that comes with alot of chocolate these days.

Well browsing in Tesco the other day I noticed they had Milka bars on offer at 50p for a 100g bar, only I noticed a different one Milka and Daim. This particular chocolate is Alpine Milk chocolate with pieces of Crunchy Daim Caramel. Daim is a chocolate bar itself, which used to be called Dime, it's a thin chocolate with a hard centre of caramel which has an acquired taste and texture in my opinion.

Milka chocolate bars come in a lovely pale purple wrapper and clearly say Milka in milky white writing with the Milka cow standing small, but proudly underneath. This bar is a bit more jazzy though with the deep reds and bright yellows from the Daim bar advertised on one side, so even if you hadn't seen Daim bars before this chocolate bar looks a bit more exciting and appealing on a shelf than most.

This 100g bar contains;
530 calories
30g fat
17g saturates
58.5g sugars

Milka chocolate bars come in sqaure segments, it's not a very chunky bar but it's enough believe me. As I bit into it I was pleased to taste that stunningly smooth and creamy chocolate bar but I soon bit into a hard and sweet piece of caramel it didn't half funk up the texture a bit. Milka bars are extremely soft chocolate bars that literally melt in your mouth, they are so tasty and creamy and really excude chocolate excellence on your tastebuds in my opinion yet they are sold so cheaply in most supermarkets when on offer anyway. I still had this sumptuously soft chocolate bar melting in my mouth but the pieces of caramel just excited the flavours and textures a bit giving me some hard sweetness, it was almost naughty like it wasn't meant to be there. It soon smoothed down though as I bit into them and their sweetness mixed in with the deep, rich Milka chocolate. I couldn't have one of these all the time mind as the bars are large, and the chocolate is rich but as a treat this was different and the textures and flavours worked well together within the chocolate. Definitely one to try!

Summary: A bar thats definitely different!
