      Another top product from Montezumas

Montezuma's, for me now is THE chocolate shop, it's far superior to Thortons and not quite as stupidly over priced as Hotel chocolat.

Starting out in Chichester and still using that as there base, the number of stores is ever increasing, and now making way for Montezuma's coffee shops too. It's unsurprising that people like their chocolate, it's good quality and has exciting combinations many of us would not have though of before. Their products have got that 'I must try that' quality to them. With names like 'Raisin the Titanic' and 'Secret Squirrel' I love the touch of humour about their stuff too.

Montezuma's chocolate is good quality and good quality doesn't come cheap. I often save buying for here for birthdays and special occasions when I can justify spending so much on chocolate. When I was in recently however, I noticed their new range of speciality bars. These are about the size of a Mars bar and priced at £1.25. Ok, it's a lot of money for the size but still a 'pocket money' price meaning I could treat myself to a bit of monty's without breaking the bank.

There is a good selection, all with great names. I bought a 'Gormet Gorilla' one for my mum, which was nutty milk chocolate, and a 'snackle' for me. One of the less adventurous flavours, milk chocolate and rice krisipie bits, I thought I'd see if Monty's can do simple as well as it can the weird and wonderful.

Well yes, actually they can! The milk chocolate was delicious, smooth and creamy, the rice krispie bits weren't all the way through, just a layer at the bottom. The bar is split in to chunks so you can break it off piece if you like. There is no nutritional content on the packaging, but safe to say these aren't good for you.

I have to say, if these bars were on sale in all the locall shops and supermarkets, not just through Montezumas, I could see me buying it probably, a little too often. Just as well it isn't. In addition to the yummyness of the chocolate, these bars come in little boxes, rather than wrapping. Environmentally freindly, and they look great too.

I have looked at Montezuma's website and you can choose and four of the 45g speciality bars and they'll put them together for you as a gift pack for £5, I think this is a great idea as a gift. A way of being able to give a selction of good quality chocolate without breaking the bank.

Overall, I love the new snackle bar and next time I'm passing I'll be sure to try another one..or two!
