Nestle Milk Chocolate Crunch
What is it?
A chocolate bar by Nestle.
This bar of milk chocolate contains crisped cereals that make it particularly 'crunchy' in texture.
What do I think?
This is not really a chocolate bar for those who prefer 'soft' foods, because as the name suggests, this bar is really crunchy and hard in texture. You really need strong teeth to get through this one, and I wouldn't really recommend it for those who like to look after their teeth, because they do get a good battering from this bar (!).
Okay, it's not exactly as hard as rock, but it's one of those bars that don't melt very easily in your mouth as the bulk of it is made from the cereal part of it. Generally, there is a crispy texture, but mainly a crunchy chunky feel.
It's not really going to be a favourite with chocoholics either. I love chocolate and can really taste the difference with this, in that there doesn't seem to be as high a content in cocoa beans as there should be. The taste of the cereal already dilutes the taste of the chocolate, but even without it I know the chocolate will still taste pretty bland as the ingredients do also confirm that there is a very low content of decent chocolate ingredients.
The good thing about this bar is that it seems to have a slightly lower sugar content compared with the other bars and brands. It also seems to have a lower milk content, and in general, it also seems to have a slightly lower calorie and fat content than the average chocolate bar.
However, with chocolate, particularly with a chocoholic, the taste of the chocolate is always the most important thing. It's worth a try for the texture but it's not really one of my favourites and I think it would be at the bottom of my choices if I ever do buy chocolate again...
On a positive note, one of the best things about the bar is that, despite or the crunchy cereal bits in it, the bar doesn't crumble much when you break it up. The bar is segmented into nice bite sized sections where you can break it up easily, and it has each of its logo letters stamped into each of the segments which make it a bit more interesting....
Thanks for reading.
