Nestle Dairy Box
Advantages: loads of nutty chocolate! my favourite
Disadvantages: Quite an expensive choice, not a great variety
I received this Dairy Box by Nestle as a present recently. I looked it up just now on Tesco.co.uk and it costs £7.50 for the 400g box which is enormous!
If you are allergic to nuts, put this back on the shelf immediately, about 75% of the chocolate flavours contain almonds or hazelnuts in different forms and shapes. A lot of the chocolates taste very similar despite being named differently and being in different molded shapes. There are ten different flavours although each tray is an exact copy of the other.
The chocolate is very smooth tasting, rich and creamy. I still prefer cadburys as they do more caramel assorted flavours and these chocolates are a bit dry in comparison.
There are two layers in this, and it states that the chocolates are free from artificial flavourings, colourings and preservatives. Although they are still not good for you as the sugar content is high! Each three sweets contains a whopping 154 calories! They are also high in fat so eat in moderation or better share! My favourite is the hazelnut duo which is hazelnut praline with chopped hazelnuts and milk chocolate.
If you love chocolate and have no allergies then this makes a great gift but I think there are better variety boxes that cater for everyone's taste. This is definitely an indulgence box for two to share!
Summary: A lovely present to receive
