Advantages: milky, creamy taste
Disadvantages: saturated fat !
Milky Bar is made by Nestle Rowntree.
Rowntree began in the world of chocolate back in 1725, when they first opened a shop selling it.
Over the years they have produced many famous chocolates/sweets. Those "family name" things we grew up with.
Smarties, black magic, kit kat, after 8 mints, polos, jelly tots, and of course Milky Bar.
Milky Bars were first made 70 years ago, and in 1961, the famous milky bar kid began fronting those classic adverts.
"The Milky Bars are on me"
I am a confirmed chocolaholic, but am also on a diet, so this adds a bit of a conumdrum for me.
How can you try to loose weight, be healthy, but still have something you enjoy on a regular daily basis.
Well for me a milky bar is the answer.
On my way back from the gym 3 times a week I stop at our little shop and buy myself 25 g bar.
The good thing is it is full of natural ingredients, with no artificial flavourings or colourings.
The ingredients are as following: whole cows milk, whey powder, vegetable fat, cocoa butter, natural vanilla flavouring, lecithin, and emulsifiers.
#Nutrtionally a 25g bar contains 137 calories 14.5g carbohydrate, and 7.9 g fat (5g saturated), so really not too bad to "feed the habit"
The Milky Bar comes in three sizes: the small bar, at 12.5g,
the standard bar at 25g, the chunky bar at 37g and milky bar buttonsat 30g
I sit in my car and eat it very slowly, savouring each milky mouthfull, then carry on my way feeling much happier.
Surely, life must contain pleasure or one asks oneself "whats the point going on"
So I say thanks Milky bar, for helping me enjoy chocies and lose weight
