Chocolate in General
= = = = = = = = = = =
I love chocolate bars and occasionally like a bar every now and again. I normally have milk chocolate made either by Dairy Milk or Galaxy; how-ever I do also like white chocolate every now and again. Although I like milk chocolate I do actually prefer white chocolate and if I had to pick a favourite between the two it would be white chocolate. I probably don't eat white chocolate as much as there seems to be a lack of white chocolate products available to buy, as milk chocolate seems to be much more popular. When it comes to white chocolate it has to taste really creamy and I find that there is only one white chocolate brand that has this lovely creamy flavour which is Nestle Milkybar. I do like other Nestle products such as KitKat and other products; how-ever I don't feel their chocolate tastes as nice as Dairy Milk or Galaxy. I do how-ever love their Milkybar white chocolate and this is my favourite white chocolate brand.

About Milkybar
= = = = = = = =
Milkybar is made by Nestle and is a white chocolate bar aimed mainly at children, how-ever I love the taste of this bar and won't stop buying it anytime soon! The bar has all natural ingredients and contains vegetable fat (from tropical plants) in addition to cocoa butter. Nestle have been producing chocolate since the 1930's and the Milkybar products are available in lots of different countries including South Africa, Spain, Australia, Ireland, Kuwait and more. I remember watching the Milkybar kid on the television adverts when I was a child and I'm sure many of you will remember this advert too.

The Milkybar comes in an off white (more of a very pale yellow) and a red plastic foil wrapper. The words Milkybar and printed across the front of the packaging in blue writing which is surrounded by what looks like a very large milk splash. The Nestle logo is also just above the Milkybar word as well. On the back of the wrapper is a list of nutritional information, ingredients and other information. There are also contact details for Nestle as well which includes a free phone number, postal address and the Nestle website which is www.nestle.co.uk.

Appearance/Smell/Taste

The foil wrapper is easy to tear open from one of the ends to reveal the lovely milky coloured chocolate bar. The bar itself is quite thin but long and has a picture of the Milkybar kid and a horse on the bar, this is raised slightly. The bar is an off white colour or a creamy colour. The bar smells very, very sweet and little sickly, how-ever the smell of this bar does make my mouth water a little as it does smell delicious. I bit a small piece of the bar off and started to chew. As the piece of chocolate warmed up in my mouth it began to melt a little and release a lovely creamy taste which filled the whole of my mouth. The chocolate is very sweet and creamy but tastes so delicious. I continued to eat the rest of the bar, each time really enjoying every bit I took from the bar. The chocolate can become quite soft if left out on the side on a warm day so you may want to store the bar in a fridge. After eating the bar there was a slight sweet taste in my mouth, how-ever this soon goes after having a drink of water or chewing some gum.

Overall Opinion

I love the taste of Milkybar as it's really creamy and so delicious. I do find this chocolate very, very sweet so if you don't like too sweet things then this probably isn't for you. I personally think this is the best white chocolate there is available to buy as its good value and taste so nice. In terms of value I think the bar is very good value as it's a lot cheaper than other milk chocolate products. My nephew loves having the milkybar buttons as a sweet treat. Most of you will probably have tried Milkybar but if you haven't then I highly recommend you try it as you don't know what you are missing out on. This is a delicious, creamy product from Nestle that I will continue to buy.
