Advantages: Taste wonderful
Disadvantages: I can see the fat mounting up on my waistline as I eat each pot
I love yoghurts and I love chocolate but they are not something I am a fan of mixing until I tried a Rolo yoghurt! I have never liked chocolate in yoghurt or mousse form as I always find them to have a horribly bitter taste but I can honestly say that every spoonful of a Rolo yoghurt is a little piece of heaven.
I purchase the 4 pack of Rolo desserts for £1 in Asda. They used to be more expensive than this and so it was much easier for me to talk myself out of getting them, but at a £1 for 4 I can not resist temptation as often as I used to!
Each pot is 77g and so pretty small which is an even better excuse to eat more than one pot in one sitting. I have never managed yet to just eat a single pot, I always take 2 out of the fridge to devour. Of course as most people are aware Rolos are chunks of toffee coated in chocolate which I have never been much of a fan of because I find them too chewy. However the Rolo dessert is complete smooth, chocolatey goodness. The dessert is in 2 layers, a toffee layer on the bottom with a thicker chocolate layer on top. The chocolate layer is of a wonderfully thick consistency and is incredibly milky and smooth, not one ounce of bitterness about it which I adore. The toffee layer is not so thick and would be very sickly by itself but tastes amazing alongside the chocolate layer. It is best to try and enjoy every mouthful because before you know it, the pot is empty and then you find yourself opening another one, not so good for the waistline.
Each pot contains 9.5 grams of fat and is 188 calories, so I really would suggest that Rolo desserts are just for a little indulgence now and again. If your like me and have to eat 2 at a time then it's even worse so I avoid buying them now as best I can. These just taste so nice that I don't have the willpower to stop at one pot and with how bad for you one pot is, it just isn't worth the 4 mouthfuls I get out of each one. Rolo desserts are perfect when you need cheering up though, then you can just pig out and eat the 4 in one go and not feel so guilty about it after!
Summary: A fantastic treat but loses a star for how bad they are for you
