Rolos: The defintion of brilliance
Member Name: gavallan2020
Advantages: very good taste, caramel is a good thickness, well priced, multi packs available
Rolos are unique in there own way. Although the idea is relatively simple, there is nothing else like them. Like most Nestle brands, Rolos are quite well established as they were first made in 1938. Since then there have been a few changes in the recipe which has therefore made the Rolos as we know it, better and better.
On the taste side of things, Rolos carry a perfect record. The taste is just brilliant, the caramel is just the right density. Not to thick, yet not to smooth, just in between. The caramel itself has an undescribable taste to it. Its one of those things that can't be put into words, but it just tastes fantastic. Outside the inner core of caramel, the Rolo is coated with a layer of Nestle Milk Chocolate. As you would expect, there are no problems on the chocolate front either. So overall in the taste, the Rolos can't be faulted. They are just brilliant in their own little undescribable way.
Price and Appearance
In terms of price, Rolos should cost around the average for the confectionery items. This of course is 50p, which is the same as almost all other Nestle products. 50p is actually quite good as you do get quite a lot of Rolos for your money. As I am sure you know, Rolos come in a long round packet so they can't be missed either. Multi packs are available too, these contain 5 tubes and should cost around £2 in your average supermarket. Rolo minis are available too which are basically mini Rolos, as you would've guessed.
So overall, Rolos are a very good tasting item. They have a decent price tag and variations of the brand are available too.
