I hadn't eaten a Rolo since I was very little until the other day. My friend had a packet and she offered me one so I couldn't resist and took one. I must admit that after having one I wanted to have another one but because I didn't want to be rude and ask, I bought a packet on the way home. When I tried one of my friend's Rolo's it brought back memories of the great taste.
I bought my packet from a news agents which cost me about 37p. The price will vary depending on where you buy it. The Rolos still come in a golden foil wrapper and then they are wrapped in a brown thin papper which keep the Rolos together.
The Rolos are small and individual in the foil whici makes them easy to share, even though most people are reluctant to do so. Each Rolo consists of a quite thick layer of creamy Nestle chocolate and they have a gooey, golden caramel centre. The caramel is the part that makes the Rolo sweet. I really enjoy Rolos, you can control how much you are eating because they are all individual.
I wouldn't advise to eat these on a regular basis as they conotain a lot of sugar, but they are a nice treat on the odd occasion.
I would advise to keep them a cool and dry place because they do melt quite easily. If they melt then you will end up with one big long sticky, chocolaty mess! I think that they are a great snack to enjoy in the evening with a nice brew!
