Advantages: Lots of colours
Disadvantages: Melt easily in pockets
I used to love these when I was younger as the bright colours were just so exciting to eat! Once the artificial colours were taken away the blue smarties disappeared but the good news is that they're back - and with avengence!
The best thing about Smarties is that you get a lot in one packet and there's so many ways to eat them! You can bite in half, nibble off the sugar shell first, suck until it turns white and your tongue turns the colour of the shell, suck and try to melt the chocolate or just toss in your mouth without a care in the world.
The orange coloured ones have oranged flavoured chocolate inside and at Christmas you can buy entire tubes of just those - fantastics for orange coloured Smarties addicts!
They used to come with a letter of the alphabet on the lid - highly collectable as children attempt to collect enough to spell their name.
Summary: Super sweets
