Nestle Toffee Crisp
Advantages: 3 lovely sections that blend together
My nan bought me a pack of five full size Toffee Crisp bars to take to work for my lunch from Sainsburys where they are on offer for £1.
The wrapper is orange with Toffee Crisp written in yellow with a brown border. They are made by Nestle. The chocolate bar contains milk, wheat and barley so are not suitable for anyone with allergies to any of those ingredients. The wrapper doesn't say anything about allergy information or the weight of the bar. I did find out from hunting on the web that they are 45g in weight. Each bar will give you 228kcal, 1.6g of protein, 27.7g of carbohydrates, 12.2g of fat of which 8.6g are saturates and 0.2g if salt.
I thought that the chocolate bar was a good size and was quite substantial. The wrapper was easy to open and the chocolate coats the bar well but you can still see the inside bits trying to poke through. The chocolate is thick enough to cover the whole bar but there is no extra. Under the chocolate is a thin layer of soft toffee that snaps easily when you bite into it so you don't end up with a 3ft long strand between your mouth and the chocolate bar. The best bit of the bar though is the rice Krispies held together by chocolate. They are light and crispy and help to create a lovely texture when you take a bite. The three sections blend together really well. Still one of my favourites.
