Advantages: It's chocolate of a sort
Disadvantages: poor quality
Chocolate is one of these food items most of us cannot resist, and fortunately there are many brands for us to choose from. Some of these brands provide us with the tastiest chocolate available others simply try to emulate the more popular and successful brands. Nestle falls somewhere in between, it is no doubt a successful company and does make a few really good products of which category many would say Yorkie falls into.
I much prefer Cadbury's chocolate myself but have on occasions purchased a Yorkie for the pure satisfaction of it's size. For your outlay of 55p or thereabouts you will receive a larger than normal bar of chocolate. Six huge chunks of chocolate enough to satisfy the most hungry chocoholic. The chocolate itself appears on the outside to be quite smooth and looks very similar to that of Cadbury or Galaxy, but that is where the similarity ends.
The taste of the chocolate is not nearly as intense as a Cadbury offering, and is a little sweeter, I also feel that Nestle chocolate has and kind of a powdery taste, and the reason products covered with Nestle chocolate are so popular is that this powdery texture is often disguised by other tastes such as the wafer and filling in a Kit Kat which is a super biscuit snack. I'm not saying that a Yorkie is a bad bar of chocolate, just that it is way down the pecking order of choice for my personal consumption.
It is quite highly advertised with their current campaign being that of Yorkie being NOT FOR GIRLS which is signified by the NO GIRLS sign being quite prominent on the front of the wrapper and taking up the normal position of the O in Yorkie. All in all not a bad bar, but there are better chocolate bars to be had for your 55p.
