... On opening the bar there is a light smell of sweetness and of vanilla. This is quite nice as it is nice compared to other bars. It is clear that the manufacturers have spent more time on what is in the bar than what it looks like as it is a very plain beige/light brown colour. It does not have any coatings like other bars, it is simply a bar formed just of the basic ingredients.

This is another bar that I have bought to help with my training over the next few weeks in the run up to a couple of races. This bar is made by Powerbar and is part of there Performance Energy Bar range. It cost me about £1.20 for one Vanilla Flavoured bar. The bar comes in a brightly coloured plastic wrapper which is gold and blue. The front has a large Powerbar logo with "Performance" underneath. There are then various sentences to make the product appeal to the consumer such as "For Maximum Energy Delivery".
