One of my new favourite treats!

Advantages: Good quality chocolate
Disadvantages: Can be a little hard to find
I've heard about these chocolate bars before, but where I live they're not readily available in a lot of shops. The bar which I bought this afternoon was from a corner shop and cost a very reasonable 55p! A few years ago 55p would've been quite expensive, but considering how expensive chocolate bars have become recently this seems like a good price to me. The bar is made by the German company Storck, which according to Wikipedia also produce Werther's Original (I had absolutely no idea Werther's weren't a British sweet).
The bar itself is wrapped in dark brown waxy paper rather than the usual plastic. The bar is divided into 5 bitesize pieces of chewy toffee coated in dark chocolate. I rather like the taste of the dark chocolate covering as the toffee is obviously really sweet so it provides a really nice balance. I think that if the toffee was covered in milk chocolate it would be too sickly for my tastes. The pieces of toffee are a good size for eating in one go, but the toffee is also soft enough to bite in half if you're not feeling very adventurous (or if you're eating these in a public place!). The toffee takes quite a bit of effort to chew - I would compare it to a slightly less chewy Curly Wurly as most people know what they're like to eat. Overall, the taste of the product is very good and the chocolate tastes like it's very good quality indeed.
There isn't really much else to say about this bar as it's just chocolate covered toffee, but I would definitely recommend that you give it a try - I'm glad I did!
Summary: Definitely give these a try!
