      I'd rather have a banana!

      Slim Fast Chocolate Peanut Bar

I am now getting to quite enjoy the Slim Fast regime and coping well on two shakes, two snacks and one 600 calorie meal. If I fancy a lunch then I have one and have a shake for tea so I bend the rules slightly, but it is working.

The snacking side can be a bit of a pain though and when I was in Tesco and saw three of the Slim Fast snacks for £1 I picked up the Chocolate Peanut Bar hoping that my chocolate fix would come from this. The regular price is around 40p I believe.

As it was snack time I tore the wrapper open in the car and chomped away. The bars remind me of Snickers / Marathon bars because of the nougat, chocolate and peanut combo. Sadly they are nowhere near as wonderful as the real thing, but they are okay and do satisfy a chocolate urge. They are very small bars and not as packed with nuts as the real thing.

Each 26g bar contains 99 calories and 3.3g of fat, so quite a good deal here I think.

Overall they are enjoyable and do stop me reaching for a bigger better bar of chocolate but I think that is more willpower than desire. They are not filling and so I would rather have a banana (!!)
