Marathon was always one of my favourite chocolate bars when I was growing up and I remember the first time I had it as Snickers. I was staying with a friend whose husband was in the forces and stationed in Germany and we used to pop out to the kiosk on the corner to get a snack each night. There was my favourite bar behind the counter ... Read the complete review

I am a massive fan of chocolate and sometimes peanuts and so a Snickers Bar seems like the perfect combination of these two flavours. I'm a pretty rare breed in that I don't actually like peanut butter but I don't mind peanut themselves and so I'm lucky that Snickers Bars have whole crunchy peanuts in their products which are a nice ... As a child I was probably quite unusual in the fact that I got no pleasure in eating chocolate. Over time however, I have grown to love the stuff. A Snickers bar is a chocolate bar that pre-dates myself in another name, the Marathon bar. For me,a question I've always asked people when buying chocolate is whether they preferred ... For me chocolate and peanuts are one of the best combinations in food, so I love Snickers bars a huge amount. A Snickers bar is a combination of an outside layer of chocolate, underneath that a layer of caramel, peanuts and nougat all put together to make one yummy chocolate bar! I first had these in a small tin of chocolates that were ... Read the complete review

I have a very sweet tooth and am yet to find a chocolate bar that I do not really like. One bar of chocolate that I do really enjoy is the Mars Snickers although I try not to eat them too much as they are quite high in calories. But recently Tesco has had a great offer on many of the Mars range of chocolate bars in multipacks so thought ... Read the complete review

These are really decent chocolate bars as they contain many more ingredients compared to normal chocolate bars. They're bursting with nuts, caramel and chocolate. The chocolate is lovely and oozy and it melts in the mouth as you eat it. The nuts give the bar a nice texture and the caramel adds to the sweet taste that the bar gives you. ... I have to admit when it comes to choosing a chocolate bar; I would never normally pick one with nuts in it- This might of been because of an unfortunate experience with the Cadbury Fruit and Nut I had a while back. However after 3 hours swimming one day and feeling, naturally hungry and after searching in vain in all the Leisure centers ... Read the complete review

Snickers are one of my favourite chocolate bars. You can get 5 for a £1 now in supermarket offers which is a great price since they are more filling and heavier than most chocolate bars. The outer layer is milk chocolate. I find this chocolate far too sweet (its the same in Mars Bars). Its just too sugary although it ... Read the complete review

Another popular chocolate bar that you can buy in many supermarkets and newsagents is a Snickers which for a standard sized bar will cost you 50 to 60 pence depending on where you get yours from. The bar is roughly the same thickness and length of a normal Mars bar and is in fact manufactured by the Mars Company. A Snickers is nougat ... Read the complete review

The Snickers bar used to be called the Marathon, it's advertising campaign on television features the famous A-Team member, Mr. T. The adverts are funny, with Mr. T's catchphrase in the campaign being "Get some nuts!" - which is suitable as the SNickers is full of peanuts, however it implies the Snickers is for men only. You ... Whatever happened to the trusty Marathon Bar? Some time ago, in the not so distant past history of the Mars Snickers Bar, thats pre 1990 to you and I, people knew and loved it as the Mars Marathon Bar. Yes, the original nutty, caramel filled bar we now know as Snickers, was previously sold as Marathon in the UK and Ireland ... Read the complete review

A snicker bar is made from nougat, caramel, roasted peanuts and milk chocolate. This is a truly scrumptious chocolate bar but can become quite sickly after just one bar. Snickers are a chocolate bar consisting of a thick outer milk chocolate layer, followed by a layer of caramel and peanuts, with a nougat centre. Snickers were originally launched in 1930 and were known in the UK as Marathons. They are the most popular chocolate bar of all time and have expanded in range recently, with snack size, multi ... I am a big chocolate far, and I do like a chocolate bar every now and then (OK, maybe more often than that). Having not had a snickers bar in a few years, I was pleasantly surprised when a friend bought me one over as a dessert to accompany our already extremely unhealthy 'pizza evening'. Snickers bars have been around for years, and I have to say, I really did forget how good they tasted. Snickers is quite similar to a Mars Bar - as far as I ... Read the complete review

Previously sold as Marathon bars in the Uk snickers, which is made by Mars, is the biggest selling chocolate bar of all time. With its blue writing against the white back ground this chocolate bar is easily identifiable, however one of my gripes is that the packaging doesnt do much to inspire you and make you want to pick it up.
