      Very helpful

      Not for me these!

When it comes to chocolate covered cornflakes they are something that I used to love as a child and remember making with my mum! So....when I spotted a tub of them already made up for £1.70 I decided to treat myself hoping they would taste as good as I remember them to!

      The Packaging:

The clusters come in a white frosted coloured tub with a pull off lid to the top of it and a brown coloured label goes around it and on the lid. On there we are told that they are Tesco Crispy Clusters (also in mini variety) 'Smothered in real milk chocolate' then on the front of the tub there is a photograph of some of the clusters and an at a glance nutritional chart is shown. On the back of the tub other information listed includes ingredients, allergy advice and a full nutritional chart is shown, the weight is stated which is 175g in this case and contact details for Tesco are given. Nice enough tub which is robust and gives off the impression you are buying a nice enough quality product!

      The Clusters:

What you get are lots of thick, oblong shaped, quite large clusters. Rough in texture but all conform to each other in shape. Bascially this is a blend of maize, rice and oats so that they lood like mushed up cornflakes and are blended with a little honey and covered in light milk chocolate.

They are crispy and crunchy and mine kept in the tub fresh until I ate them all which took me a week, so they stay fresh quite a while. They did taste of cornflakes with a malty flavour to them, they were not too sweet but what let them down for me was the chocolate!

It looked like chocolate, smelt like chocolate but tasted like they'd used Tesco 'Value' milk chocolate over them. It was on rather thinly thankfully but it really did taste cheap and a bit powdery.

All in all I didn't really like these. I liked the crunch but that was it really. I found the quality of the ingredients used questionable!
