      Simply ok these!

I see a box of chocolates as a complete luxury! Sitting scoffing them to myself with a cup of tea in front of the tv isn't something I do often enough I think! I spotted these in Tesco priced at £1.00 a box the other day and I couldn't believe my eyes as I love milk chocolate stuffed with caramel usually so I grabbed a box to be a piggy with that night! The Packaging: Yellow oblongish box and on the front there is a photograph of some of the chocolates and I'm told they are Tesco Milk Chocolate Caramels. Other information on the box includes ingredients and allergy advice, storage instructions and the best before date is clearly displayed, there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there along with a full nutritional chart shown being shown, the size is stated which is 120g and contact details for Tescos are given as usual. In the box there is a dark brown plastic tray with 15 chocolates in the holes and you have to give them a push out. It's a nice enough, informative box but it is very simple to look at and a bit cheap so not great really to give as a gift but I guess you could if you really want to it's just I don't want to lol! The Chocolates: Well like I say you get 15 chocolates and they are shaped like caramel cups and are rather large really and certainly rather deep. They are a light milk chocolate and when you pop them out of the tray you get them upside down! The top is flat and when you turn them over you get like a sunshine pattern engraved on each one. Taste wise these are no better than ok really. The chocolate is milk chocolate and rather sweet but for me it isn't rich or creamy enough and it's rather crispy but does melt in the mouth well enough. Inside each 'cup' there is a generous amount of light golden gooey caramel. Once again though this is simply sweet and not great and just tastes of sugar really. Verdict: These are not awful and I did end up scoffing the lot in one sitting but I did find them a little overly sweet and not luxurious at all. I'd like a much thicker and richer chocolate with more of a creamy taste to it and I feel that the caramel is just a sticky gooey mess rather than tasting of much at all sadly. Not terrible but not something I would go out of my way to purchase again I'm afraid! Allergy Advice: Contains: Milk, Soya. Nutritional Information Per Two Chocolates: Calories: 75 Sugar: 9.6g fat: 3.4g Saturates: 2.3g Salt: Trace Only available in Tesco stores.
