Tesco Milk Chocolate
Advantages: Cheap and satisfy's the craving for chocolate
Disadvantages: Not very good quality ingredients used
Ive been buying tesco's milk chocolate for a few months now. I first discovered it when I only had 50p in my pocket and I was craving chocolate. There wasn't a freddo so I bought tesco's everyday value chocolate instead thinking it was nice and big and chocolate is always ggood no matter what company its made by.
It was wrapped up like chocolate usually is in a thin sheet of plastic sealed together.
On the back of the wrapper it had allergy information stating that it contained no nuts. I am not allergic to nuts but after a few bites from the chocolate I noticed I started coughing a lot. I was up all night with this cough and couldn't really figure out what had triggered it. I am not allergic to anything in fact so I really didn't know what had caused the cough.
I did find the taste of the chocolate particularly nice though. It was creamy and smooth, not like galaxy or cadburys but for 30p it was great tasting. It certainly satisfied my craving for chocolate. I was pleased with myself for finding something so cheap that I could buy everyday if I wanted too. I think greediness took over me.
I had it again a few days later and noticed the cough again. I was then certain that the chocolate was giving me the cough. I have realized since then that cheaper things may taste alright but they are not good for your health because they are made with cheap ingredients and substitutes. I now treat myself once or twice a week to a bar of either cadburys or galaxy but now only use Tesco's everyday value chocolate for baking, If I need a small amount. On the other hand, the finest range from Tesco which is a little dearer, has amazing chocolate and I had no problem with that at all.
I wouldn't recommend everyday value chocolate, it isn't worth risking your health just to satisfy a craving. Go for a biscuit instead! This is just my opinion though, I am sure there are many people who love it and have no problems with it.
Summary: I wouldn't buy it to eat as a treat ever again i'm afraid
