With chocolate going up to nearly £2 a bar for the branded stuff I am always looking of getting the same thing for cheaper. Ok you cannot compare the taste of this chocolate compared to my favourite cadburys however for 30p this is a lifesaver. I have tried all 3 types of chocolate: The milk, personally for me I will ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Tesco Value Chocolate in general

I have eaten plain chocolate fom teaso value range for months and it's super delicious. It's not bitter but not too sweet. Just my type. I find other brands are overloaded with sugar, which is annoying. This chocolate is not superb but that's beyond my expectation for 30p. Def buy again And again

Like most people, I love chocolate and my favorites are just milk chocolate like cadburys and galaxy etc, but because of the price rising I wanted to look for a cheaper chocolate fix! *Price* For 30p you can't go wrong, or the way I look at it three for a pound and change! *Packaging* Since the everyday ...  Read the complete review

Why do I buy this? In a bid to save a little extra cash, I've been trying out the Tesco Value Chocolate, as I have a serious sweet tooth. I have recently been buying the white chocolate variety, which isn't my usual choice as I know how unhealthy white chocolate can be! I always used to love Milky Bars when I was much younger, ...  Read the complete review

I have recently been doing quite a lot of baking which requires me using a lot of chocolate. With some chocolate being quite expensive I decided to try the Tesco value range as I had read some positive reviews about it. The Tesco value chocolate can be purchased from the larger Tesco stores and comes in white, milk and dark ...  Read the complete review

A few days ago my husband decided he would like some chocolate buns. Whilst up Tesco I picked up all the ingredients I needed but instead of going for the normal chocolate I buy I decided to give Tesco Value Milk Chocolate a try, I had heard good things about this so thought that it would be perfect to put into my cakes or at least ...  Read the complete review

As you know, some brands of chocolate can be very expensive and many of us are prepared to pay to enjoy the chocolate we love. After all, it's an indulgence so we shouldn't really crave chocolate which we don't like. I don't eat much chocolate but bought two bars of Tesco Value chocolate last week, ostensibly to use in ...  Read the complete review

I remember the good old days - 10 years ago when you could buy a handful of chocolate bars and it wouldn't cost you any more than the 50p spends you were sent to the shop with. Now you can't even buy 1 of those chocolate bars for 50p at all. The price of confectionary has completely inflated in the recent years, and yet we Brits keep ...  Read the complete review

Even in my ever scrooge like approach to shopping, I was slightly dubious of a bar of chocolate that cost 27p (100g). It is smaller than the Cadbury dairy milk standard bar, but for the same price you could buy eight of these so that argument doesn't really stand up to much. And now its gone down to 23p. Can't be bad. On ...  Read the complete review

I was looking for some plain dark chocolate for cooking and came across Tesco Value Plain Chocolate, at 27p for a 100g bar I decided to try it. The nutritional content is clearly marked on the ...  Read the complete review

As some of you may know, I'm on a quest to cut my shopping bill by trying Value or own brand products when shopping. I stood looking at the chocolate bars trying to pick one when I noticed the Tesco Value bar, placed right at the ...  Read the complete review

'Mmmm chocolate', it is this thought that made me reach out for the tesco value bar, at a mind blowing 29 pence for a 100 grams featured with a pretty picture of some chocolate on the front of the packet, I just couldn't resist. On taste though I felt rather differently. I knew that the chocolate wouldn't taste anything like ...  Read the complete review

I decided to give the 28p for 100g bar of Tesco Value chocolate a try more out of curiosity than anything (as is the case with most of my first purchases). For your 28p you get a large-ish 100g bar of chocolate. When you open it, you get 10 over-sized squares of chocolate (making each square 10g of chocolate whcih works out ...  Read the complete review

There are some products that you wont be able to discern between when it comes to brands.
