Tesco Value Milk Chocolate
Advantages: Cheap and does't taste bad!
Disadvantages: Not really very rich at all
Being as partial as I am and when getting my hands on some and not being able to control myself and scoffing the lot when it comes to chocolate what I do try to do is find cheap but still nice stuff. When I saw this in my local Tesco priced at 27p I was unable to stop myself from picking up a couple of the large bars of this cos I was astounded at the price and value it offered!
White and blue flimsy plastic and foil wrapper (on the inside) oblong wrapper there is a photograph of lumps of the chocolate on the front of it. I'm told in red and white writing that it is Tesco 'Value' Milk Chocolate and there is at a glance nutritional chart on there. Other information on the back of the packet includes ingredients and allergy advice being listed, a full nutritional breakdown chart being shown, size being stated (100g and the only size I've seen this available to buy in), I'm told this is suitable for Vegetarians and contact details for Tesco are given. Yes cheap looking packaging it is and it does tear easily but to be fair it does the job and its informative enough.
Well don't quote me but I'm pretty sure there are 2 rows of 5 chunks (if you know different let me know!) cos I lost count! Anyway the chocolate to look at it is light brown, has a faint chocolate aroma to it and has little lines across each oblongish square. Not too thick it appears nice enough. Taste wise it's ok but there is not mistaking it's economy chocolate. It's nicely sweet and I was impressed it wasn't too sweet and didn't leave an odd after-taste but where this did fall flat was that it wasn't milky or creamy enough for me and was simply a bit flat in taste and not as rich as what I'm used to in the flavour stakes.
It isn't vile however and each lump breaks off easy enough off the block and it doesn't melt like crazy all over your hands and it melts in the mouth nicely but this really isn't for me as I prefer my chocolate to taste alot more creamy than this does and in conclusion it simply bored me lol. However great value for the pennies it costs it is!
