I was bought these as a treat but I did ask how much they cost for my review and they are £1.79 for 12 mini caramel shortcakes.

Made in Derbyshire by Thorntons these are awesome versions of Millionaire's Shortbread my Grannie makes!

These are my favourite Thorntons treat as they are really yummy and rich in flavour!

They come packaged in a plastic wrapper with a gorgeous picture of the chocolate covered caramel shortcakes on the front and a best before date which is a few weeks in advance at 28th Dec 09.

The wrapper keeps them nice and fresh and inside each small square is in a golden plastic compartment which stopped them getting damaged...

The squares are quite solid and have three layers with the buttery biscuit base which is crumbly and a caramel middle which tastes like Thorntons toffee, yum!

The top layer is quite thick Thorntons chocolate which is solid and milk chocolate.

These are lovely with a hot drink, I even dip mine in hot chocolate but everyone else thinks that's gross, lol! I love the fact the three flavours mingle and melt in together and are coated in a hot drink, slurp! ;)

The calories are 86 per one or 492 per 100g which looks about the same as normal chocolate.

Per one there is 6.6g of sugar and 5.6g of fat so these aren't good for you, but what confectionery is?

Once opened they should be put in an n airtight container as the shortcake can go stale quickly...

For allergies there is milk, soya, gluten, wheat and oats and may contain nut traces.

The toffee sauce is awesome and my favourite bit, it is pretty squidgy and not solid and tastes fantastic and sweet and creamy like the chocolate does as well.
