This is essentially millionairre's shortcake, though it is probably the best example I have ever tasted. Each pack contains 12 pieces. They are very small, however, being not much over an inch square. I suppose they are called 'mini' caramel shortcakes though, so that is fair enough. It does make me wonder what occasion ... I love almost everything sweet and these Thornton's mini caramel shortcakes are like little squares of heaven!! I have purchased them on several occasions and most recently was on a Sunday morning on my way to work I decided to nip into Tesco Express for some treats...well if I must work on a Sunday I thought I might as well ... Preamble On Saturday my husband was sent out on a chocolate acquiring mission. For some reason my girls and I have been craving substantial quantities of the dark stuff and could no longer contain our 'hunger'. I suspect it had something to do with the old chestnut of 'synchronised cycles', this is where one week of every ... Read the complete review

Admittedly, I'm biased, as I'm a huge chocoholic and fan of Thorntons, but these are just divine! The wrapper is a type of foil cellophane. It's not resealable, so once open you either have to eat them all or store in an airtight container. Inside the pack is a gold plastic tray containing 12 caramel squares, each one roughly ... I was bought these as a treat but I did ask how much they cost for my review and they are £1.79 for 12 mini caramel shortcakes. Made in Derbyshire by Thorntons these are awesome versions of Millionaire's Shortbread my Grannie makes! These are my favourite Thorntons treat as they are really yummy and rich in ... I first tried these when my mum brought them to share with her mates but she forgot about them so I squirrelled them away for myself because I love Thorntons chocolate. These are little tiny squares of biscuit that have got a thick layer of caramel and chocolate on them. They are so yummy that I ate all of them in the pack ... Read the complete review

I've seen these for sale in Asda for ages. They often are on the special offer price of £1, but since I am not the biggest Caramel Shortcake fan, which is basically what they are then I never picked them up. My hubby loves Caramel Shortcake, but since he is male, he is more a point and shoot shopper, so goes in, gets what is needed and ... Read the complete review

I love birthdays! Espescially when it's mine. I love the presents, the party, the family gathering, the atmosphere, and I also adore the food supplied! I remember when I was little, and we used to have big family parties. I used to love going shopping with my mum to chose all the party food; mini sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, ... I bought these whilst in Thorntons a few weeks back. They were £1.79, which I must say I would not normally pay but it was my payday and I was feeling flush. The packaging makes the product look quite tempting (well tempting enough to pay £1.79!) and was easy to open and did not spill crumbs everywhere. It is slightly ... Read the complete review

I had never tried Thorntons Caramel Shortcakes before, but a few weeks ago I noticed that they were on special offer in Tesco, and they cost me the princely sum of £1.00, which I think is a great bargain. I believe they are normally around £1.50 ish, so a little more, but then again, it is Thorntons, which I see as quite a ... Read the complete review

I bought a pack of these the other week when they were on offer in Tesco for £1. They looked like a good deal as they can be quite costly normally and the picture on the front was oh-so-tempting...! These are actually called Mini Caramel Shortcakes and are made by Thorntons (which I have previously reviewed). They're a very ... Read the complete review

I have a sweet tooth......no matter how much I try and kid myself otherwise, so I would much rather munch away on something highly sugary and calorific than green and leafy. I am also very much a chocoholic.....it is my food of choice, and as you will have perhaps seen from other reviews, I am the first to admit that I eat rather too ... Read the complete review

When I was a child growing up in the seventies, any mum who could cook Millionaire's shortbread was someone to be revered as far as I was concerned. It was a similar feeling to when I went to someone's house and they had a downstairs toilet (or cloakroom as they were officially termed.) I knew immediately that I was moving up ... Caramel Squares are always the biggest hit in my group of friends, and as such we've tried a wide range of different brands, and I've even made my own (long process though!). too sickly. i much prefer Lidl Northwood caramel shortcake squares. They taste sensational! i have to buy a pack of 4 squares every time i am in the store. Very cheap as well - 89p! BARGIN! the caramel is my favourite part! the packaging is classy, black and gold with gold cavities which hold the product. We all know cakes are not the best thing for your diet, but your a long time dead! Enjoy!

In my mind all chocolate is good, I just love the stuff but there are some types of chocolate that are better than others. One of the best producers of chocolate are Thorntons, unfortunately they also have a reputation as being one of the most expensive producer.
