We were lucky enough to receive this as a gift for our recent wedding anniversary. The friend that sent it knows I'm a chocoholic and she couldn't have picked a more perfect present to send!
It's packaged in a lovely dark brown and cream box, which is very strong and could be used for storage after you've eaten the contents.
It retails for £27.50 on the Thorntons website.
Contents of my box were:
Continental 195g (£6.00)
Original Toffi Chocs 230g (£2.49)
Milk Chocolate Smothered Vanilla Fudge 420g (£5.75)
Milk Chocolate Smothered Vanilla Fudge 155g (£1.65)
2x Continental Belgian Bag 130g (£2.99 each)
Continental Praline Bag 130g (£2.99)
Milk Chocolate Fudge Inclusion Bar 80g (I think this costs around £1.50-£1.99)
Eden 79g (£3.99)
Milk Dark and White Classics 100g (£3.25)
The website lists slightly different contents, including Choc Chip Choccies 115g, and Dark Chocolate Cocoa Nib Bar 80g. I think the box of fudge in my box must have replaced these two products.
I've added the normal selling price of each item in brackets. The total cost of the contents bought individually would around £33, making the hamper good value.
The Eden box contains different flavour fruit mousses covered in chocolate. The Continental and Classic selections are made up of white, dark and milk chocolates with a variety of different centres such as nuts, fruit creams, and coconut.
As with any hamper there will probably be one or two things that some people don't like (in my case pralines and nuts), but they can always share and give them to someone else.
We've had the hamper for a few weeks and still aren't half way through. Thorntons chocolates are delicious, especially the fudge and the Eden chocolates. The only problem is once they're all gone I'm going to want to replace them and buy more!
This is a great gift to send someone and makes a nice change to flowers, which taste nowhere need as good!
All Thorntons hampers are presented in a beautiful chocolate brown hamper box decorated with a stunning Coco Bean motif.
