There's Golden Nougats In Them There Mountains!
Member Name: spidystrider
Advantages: Gorgeous taste and texture.
Disadvantages: High in calories and other nasties.
Toblerone was created by Theodor Tobler and Emil Baumann in Bern, Switzerland in 1908. The Tobler Company remained independent for many years, but since 1990, Kraft have been the producers of Toblerone.
Toblerone is a very distinctively shaped chocolate bar and is easily spotted on the supermarket shelf. It comes in a long triangular shaped cardboard box, which is golden yellow in colour. 'Toblerone' is printed in red capitals along the sides and there is a picture of the Matterhorn mountain alongside the name.
Opening one end, you find that the chocolate is covered in silver foil, which when opened reveals a row of milk chocolate, triangular chunks. This chocolate smells very sweet and you can clearly see pieces of nougat through it. Printed along the side of the chocolate is the word 'Toblerone'.
This really is the most delicious, creamy milk chocolate. It is sweet and smooth and would definitely melt in your mouth quickly, if not for the other yummy ingredients. Biting into a chunk of Toblerone, you come across the pieces of nougat which are sweet and chewy. You are also met with almonds, which give that extra bite and crunch to this chocolate bar.
When mixed together, you get the most amazing, sweet, creamy, chewy and crunchy bar ever and the flavours and textures work perfectly together. I do tend to only eat two or three pieces at a time, as I do find it filling and a little sickly - but it's only sickly if I eat too much of it!

This really is a gorgeous bar of chocolate and makes a lovely change from the everyday chocolate snack. I hadn't however, realised just how high in calories it was or how unhealthy it was either.
Thankfully it is not something I eat on a regular basis and will definitely be keeping it as an extra special treat from now on!
If you are looking for a chocolate snack, that is just that extra bit special, you can't go far wrong with a Toblerone.
I would be happy to recommend this and award it 5 stars.
