Although only in my ... mid-twenties, I do worry about the soon-to-become inevitable appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially as I work in a harsh environment, which sucks hydration from my skin. I have early starts, long hours, and I do not want my skin to suffer because of this. I can honestly say that I do notice a difference when I don't use this product - my eyes look 'tighter' and almost as though the skin is overstretched, with those little lines underneath. When I use the product however, the delicate skin feels softer and much less tight. There is no soreness, and no 'pull' lines. The eye contours and lids are instantly hydrated - they not only feel, but also look healthier. There is no harsh scent which can sting the eyes, and the balm itself is very soft, which adds to the moisturising feel benefits of the product.

I choose to use this balm at night and the gel in the morning. This is my personal preference, and I feel it works well for me, so I do not always apply make-up after using it (only when on an evening out). When I do apply it though, I do find that make up does go on very well and the balm creates a lovely base for which to apply under eye concealer and also powder on the lids. The make-up does not slip, and I actually think the powder creases a little less. Lightweight this balm definitely is; it soaks into the eye area almost instantly, and there is no oily residue left. There is just a soft and comforted feeling around the eyes, and I always feel completely soothed after a long day.
I would definitely recommend this to anybody who was considering using it. You need to use very little product, and the bottle lasts a long time. The benefits are clear when using it, and even ignoring the physical benefits of the balm, just the feeling of relaxation and comfort after using it makes it worth trying. I would also recommend using the eye contour gel, and soothing eye contour mask, but that again is personal preference - I feel the combination of products improves the effects; gel (morning), balm (evening) and mask (morning, but can be evening too!).

Clarins Daily Energizer Cream Normal to Dry Skin

Without a doubt this moisturiser delivers soft, smooth skin. I use it following the rest of my daily energizers collection, and I have without any doubt noticed a ... huge difference in the quality of my skin. Far softer, far more supple, and feels so smooth to the touch. I have previously suffered with pimples on my chin, and spots on my forehead, as well as redness in my cheeks and fairly angry looking patches on my face. Since using my daily energizers cream my skin has improved greatly in these areas; the pimples have almost completely gone, and I no longer have spots across my forehead. My cheeks, although still red, look far less angry and feel much less sore. With thanks to these improvements, my skin does look far more healthy and radiant. I also feel that I will see continued improvement in my skin.

As mentioned in the above paragraph, my skin definitely feels far more soft and supple. There is no shine following this product, as is claimed, and my skin does not at all feel oily or greasy. I am able to apply make-up following the use of this moisturiser without it 'slipping'. Other moisturisers I have used have meant that the make-up applies streaky or does not last, but I have not had an issue with this.

When finishing my morning skin care routine with this cream, I do indeed see that my skin is very fresh and very bright. Any minor imperfections or uneven areas do have a clear improvement and I feel far more confident in its appearance. Dry patches are gone, and I find that the effect lasts throughout the day. I work with hot ovens and air conditioning so my skin can be punished on a daily basis - this moisturiser certainly protects it, and makes it feel much healthier through the day. Previously I had found my skin becoming tight and sore through my 12 hour shift, but I do not have that problem now. An excellent moisturiser!
I do feel an obligation to point out that I use the entire daily energizers range, and would recommend others do the same to see the highest and most effective results.
Overall, I have no reason not to recommend this product to another person and would say without hesitation to try it. It is for women aged around 18 and into their 20's however, and would stand by Clarins and say use products that are designed for your age if you expect the stated results. Different aged skin needs different levels of care, and so if you are aged 30+ I would not use this product, I would use one from the correct range (Multi Actives for 30's; Extra Firming for 40's; and Super Restorative for 50+).

Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel

This product certainly is very effective at removing make up. I wear a luminating base, a liquid foundation, concealer, blusher and sometimes powder on my face. When using this wash, I found that there was no trace of make ... up following the wash - I brushed a wet cotton pad across each cheek and forehead following the wash to test the effectiveness, and there was no trace of colour on the pad. I often find using other products that they fail this test, and a second wash is required. Not with this gel.
Also, as claimed in the description the gel is very refreshing. My skin feels awake and fresh after using it and I always feel ready for the day. Used alone the gel does however make my skin have tight feel, but followed with the recommended and suitable toner and moisturiser combination, I feel perfect and ready for the day.

Since using this product I can certainly see a huge difference in the blemishes on my skin, and the overall quality of my facial skin. I used to suffer with small pimples on my chin, and also larger spots across my forehead. I have seen a visible reduction in these blemishes, and they continue to improve with continued use of the gel. I am also using other Clarins products in conjunction with this gel, and so the improvement is obviously not down to just this one product, but I am very happy with the results, and there is no doubt in my mind that the wash is a definite contributing factor to the improvement of my skin.

Although I obviously do not have a scientific test to prove the hard water claim is true, I certainly feel how gentle this wash is, and I feel the wash is very soft and sympathetic to my sensitive skin. I feel my skin is indeed protected, and have noticed a huge improvement in the softness and suppleness of my skin. I notice a very big negative difference should I not use my wash.

In a morning before using the product, my skin tends to look a little dull and tired. Not unhealthy, just like it needs a pick me up. I see once I have used this wash a definite improvement in my skin - a brighter complexion and my skin does indeed seem to have a glow about it. I look more awake, fresher, and as though I have had a much better night's sleep than I may have indeed had!
