... I applied the lotion after my shower and it went on realy smoothly and absorbed quite quickly into the skin, I made sure I wshed my ahnds afterwards as obviously the self tan will stain hands. It goes on like a normal lotion so isnt brown in colour. The smell was quite nice and the feel of it on my skin was nice and soft and made my skin really moisturises and it didnt dry from the sun. The next morning I looked browner and there were no streaks. I continued using it every couple of days after the shower and my ski...more

Premium Review Clarins After Sun Moisturiser Self Tan: good product to take on holiday (328 words)

I have recently just bought this product because I was on holiday and wanted an aftersun anyway but when i read that this one self tans as well I thought it would be a good idea to use, especially on the first few days when you are feeling a little pasty. It costs around £10.00 which is rather a lot, but then you are getting 2 products in one and the name 'Clarins' is a name you can trust and know it will be kind to your skin. On the first night of my holiday I applied the lotion after my shower and it went on realy smoothly and absorbed quite quickly into the skin, I made sure I wshed my ahnds afterwards as obviously the self tan will stain hands. If you are new to the fake tan lark, then this is a really good product to start with, as you can't really make a mistake - no orange ankles/knees/elbows with this! It is essentially a rich moisturiser with a small amount of fake tan included, and is nice and cooling if you are a little red from the sun. However it doesn't have to be used solely as an aftersun. It is great for year round use, especially if you are not that fond of the pale and interesting look. It can be used on the face and body and has a pleasant refreshing scent. The best way to use it is to exfoliate your skin first, and then apply in an even layer. Although it is only a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Clarins After Sun Moisturiser Self Tan: Clarins Tan-Enhancing After Sun (262 words)

What a way to moisturise your skin! Clarins After Sun with Self Tan works as both a luscious moisturing easily absorbed after sun, plus the light self-tan ingredient works moreas an enhancer than a fake tan. The product applies eaily and is abosrbed well, with a non-greasy finish, plus it has one of the distinctive yet unique Clarins fragrances, unlike most fake tan products which smell decidedly strange! It is also a very good moisturiser, which is essential after those days in the sun. As you are applying the fake tan at the same time as your moisturiser, it given an even, non-streaky finish which is perfect for prolonging your holiday tan! ...  Read the complete review

When I was in Italy this year I found my Clarins after-sun in one of the boutiques. After the first day in the sun I had a cold shower and applied the cream. It goes on like silk and melts into your skin like butter. Was really lovely and I felt like I was being pampered. The next morning I woke up and looked quiet brown. Not bad for the first day. Every day I used it, remembering to wash my hands afterwards and my tan got darker and darker. After two weeks I was really brown and I returned home a happy woman. Then the problems began. Here in England the lack of sun caused my tan to fade. I carried on applying the smooth, cold, cream but ...  Read the complete review
