~Daily Energizer~

Daily Energizer is a collection of face care products offered by premium beauty brand Clarins. This collection currently includes a cleanser, wake up booster, gel cream, regular cream and a lotion.

The cleansing gel is suitable for all skin types and is marketed as being a 'foaming gel'. Clarins claim this gel will remove traces of make up and pollution whilst leaving skin blemish free and refreshed. Clarins also promise your complexion will be left bright and luminous. This cleansing gel is enriched with moringa extracts and saponaria extracts.

This gel should be applied to damp skin. It is recommended that you rinse with cool water in the morning and warm water in the evening.

~Packaging~

This cleansing gel is aptly packaged in a tall, orange tube. The tube is made from squeezy plastic and is complete with a flip lid. The tube is simple but functional and this is the perfect type of packaging to house a cleanser. This product has an 18 month shelf life.

~Price and Availability~

This cleanser can be purchased from Clarins counters in department stores (Debenhams, House of Fraser etc) and online. www.clarins.co.uk offer a 75ml tube priced at £11.00. It is worth waiting for the gift with purchase deals as you may pick up some good bargains!

~My Thoughts~

I am a big fan of Clarins skincare products so when released a range of Daily Energizer products, I decided I had to try them! I like to follow a set skincare routine which includes cleansing, toning and moisturising. I also like to treat my skin to a face mask or facial regularly to keep it looking healthy.

I favour cleansing gels. I used to wipe over my skin with make up wipes but find it more satisfying to give my skin a good cleanse with a gel and this Clarins gel definitely hits the spot. The gel has a favourable consistency. It isn't too thick nor runny and is very easy to apply to my skin. I have been using this gel twice a day alongside the wake up booster and have found the results to be really good and up to Clarins usual high standard.

This is a long lasting cleanser as only the tiniest of blobs is required to fully cleanse my face. I dampen my skin and my hands in the morning and use this to refresh and cleanse my face. It lathers beautifully but not too thickly and feels gentle and soft against my dry, sensitive skin. The scent of this cleanser is pleasant and not overpowering - it has a light, slighty fruity scent with a calm floral undertone.

I follow the guidelines by rinsing with cold water in the mornings and find this does help to enhance the effects of this cleanser. My skin feels and looks clean and refreshed. Whilst this cleanser doesn't dry my skin out further, it doesn't moisturise either but I am satisfied that my skin is clean and healthy. I am impressed by my bright complexion after using this cleanser and the wake up booster.

The really challenge is removing any make up traces in the evening before bed but this cleanser doesn't disappoint. It lathers up as normal and I take a little longer to massage the gel in circular movements to thoroughly cleanse my skin of daily impurities. Any make up traces are removed and my skin is left in a refreshed and clean state.

~Conclusion~

Whilst expensive, I quite like this cleansing gel. It effectively refreshes and cleanses my skin whilst being mild and gentle and also carries a pleasant scent. It lasts well too despite twice-daily use and I would say this product does suit my dry skin type. Overall a good cleanser and much better than some other cleansers in this price range (including Clinique!).

Thanks for reading :)

Summary: I recommend!
