Clarins cleansing milk for normal skin is described as a cleansing treatment that gently "wakes up" the skin, making it radiant. It is said to rebalance the skin and make it healthy looking. It uses a "suction mechanism" to remove make up and impurities.

It is very nicely packaged in a box - tied with ribbons and bows by the department store, which would make a nice gift. The box contains comprehensive instructions! The actual bottle of cleanser is however rather boring with a not-very-convenient-to-use screw top lid.

The cleansing milk is a not very pleasant pale green colour. This is applied with the palms of your hands (to warm the cleanser) to your face and you sweep the milk backwards towards your ears to suck off all impurities and then wash the product off. It is rather messy in this respect and gets into your hair.

The milk itself has a relatively pleasant smell but stings a little if it gets in your eyes. I am never one to get spots, but after several weeks of using this I had the worst blighters I have ever had in my life! I have never experienced this with other Clarins products.

I think this cleanser is nothing out of the ordinary and for the price would try another well known brand. However it has not put me off using other Clarins products.
