What it is This is an energizing morning cream (facial moisturiser) made by Clarins. It claims to give you instant radiance, "a true beauty booster" and "the perfect moisturiser for dull, tired, lacklustre skin. The Bottle The plastic bottle has a special "airless design" to protect the ingredients from air and light. The bottle has a screw top lid which then reveals a smooth surface with a small circle in the centre. You press the top of the bottle and a small amount of cream is released around the centre circle. On the first time you use the cream you have to press several times but after this you only require a ... Read the complete review

I have split the opinion into sections so as you don't have to listen to my inane waffling if you just want a product review...;) Well, you all know what I'm like! ~ The Story ~ Or 'How I came across this product' You must all know what a Clarins lover I am by now, so I'll save you the spiel! to cut a longer story short, I was given a sample of Eclat du jour (Energising Morning Cream) and I added it to the pile of samples in my bottom drawer. That's the thing about samples isn't it? You LOVE getting them but you never use them! However, one day, horror of all horrors, my Clarins Hydration-Plus Moisture Lotion ran ... I bought this moisturiser on the recommendation from a friend that it really wakes your skin up especially after a heavy night out. It's an ingenious tub of cream in that you screw off the top cap and press down on the lid of the cream and the moisturiser comes up through a hole in the middle, this is so that the nutrients and vitamins do not get exposed to light and their potency diminishes. This is a very light moisturiser (ideal for my combination skin) and it does not clog the pores and cause spots (I have an oily T-Zone). It sinks into the skin straight away and it does give you a fresh faced appearance although I would not say it is miraculous (do not expect ... Read the complete review

Looking for a new moisturiser, I was recommended to try this one by the Clarins Consultant who was doing my facial. I made sure that she knew I have skin which tends to be sensitive, and was assured that this was a suitable product. Sadly this is not a product which my skin enjoyed, and I found that it brought me out in spots <sigh> Thankfully the facial moisturiser I've settled with is cheaper than this one! (Virgin Vie Face Defence) To give Clarins their due, they did refund my money, albeit a little unhappily. I've mentioned this in a previous Clarins opinion, but for those who haven't read it and don't yet know - Clarins give you a ... Read the complete review

i was first introduced to this cream by a beauty therapist. it is a light cream and is suitable for all skin types. it is very light and really makes your skin soft and silky. although its a bit pricey it is well worth the money. It is a true beauty booster and really wakes the skin and gives you a brighter and a clearer skin all day long.this morning cream also is a good base for foundation as it leaves a smooth application. I would really reccomend this cream to people who want to really look after their skin and dont mind paying that little bit extra. As with all moisturisers you need to cleanse and tone before you use it to get the full benefit. ... Read the complete review
