... shines through. Despite being in powder form, the eye shadow feels creamy and luxurious. It applies evenly - and you can apply it very subtely and lightly if you wish - or alternatively you can be more bold. Even if I decide to go for the bold look, the eye shadow never looks clumpy. It blends really well, and as I said previously, the colours very much compliment each other. It also has the stay-ability factor as once I've applied it I would estimate that it doesn't need touching up for at least eight hours. Th...more

Clarins Eye Duo provide you with a little box which contains two Clarins eye shadows which are complimentary in colour and so are recommended to be sold together. The duo colours I have are Rose Petal and Grape, which, as the names would suggest, are a nice delicate pink and then a darker rich port wine colour. They do indeed compliment each other nicely - and so I like to use both colours in order to provide depth and shadowing to my eyes. The eye shadows come in a small compact box which is certainly small enough to store in my make-up case or even to carry it around in my bag. When the compact is closed, it does not open accidentally and so it is unlikely ...  Read the complete review

This is a Clarins eye shadow duo that has been in my make up bag for so long I can't actually remember when I bought it. The duo I have is the number 28 Wheat and Dusk. Now this item is no longer readily available from the Clarins counters but is still available from various on line retailers but as it is a discounted item the price of those still available has gone up accordingly and these duos now retail from £20 up to the princely sum of £42.95 new. I can't say I remember what I paid for mine but it was no where near the £40 mark The duo comes in a lovely golden style compact with a mirror and an eye shadow applicator with two ends one for each color. I no ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to make up, I have quite a large collection and if you read the review that I wrote yesterday you will have seen that I have recently swapped some of my skin care and make up over to the Estee Lauder brand. I have been really impressed with them but before I made the switch tried out a couple of other products, a Clarins toner being one of them and when I brought this toner I was lucky enough to get a bonus gift and this was one of their eye shadow duo's. I believe they were slowly stopping production of this duo and re-launching it so I was lucky to get a little gift and here are my thoughts. As I mentioned, the eye shadow is from Clarins ...  Read the complete review

I was wandering around Dublin Airport Duty free shops because my plane had been delayed. (just for a change!) I was a bit blown away by the prices that woman were being asked to part with for beauty products. I was quite shocked to see that a mascara that my daughter had lent to me (and which is still languishing in my jacket pocket!) cost 15 Euro. And this is the Duty Free price! The item in question is a Clarins Pure volume Mascara, 7ml I see it is available online for £16.25 so there's not much of a saving buying it in Ireland! The box is simple, recyclable and bears the Clarins Logo. The mascara tube is plain glossy ...  Read the complete review

Clarins Eye Duos: Clarins Eye Colour Quartet (151 words)

Recently, my friend gave me a Eye Palette Quartet in Celestial. She used the green shade on me before when she did my make up. The colours in the particular palette Celestial are sheer and have a beautiful sheen that can be worn on their own or over a brightly / dark coloured eye shadow to give a beautiful pearl effect. Ideal for evening occasions or subtle (on its own) for the day. It contains 4 shades, pink, lilac, yellow and green; all pale, pearlescent shades. It is long wearing make up which contains fine pearl and creates a smooth soft texture which is perfect for blending. It also contains an anti pollution active ingredient which helps protect the delicate ...  Read the complete review
