As you may have seen from my previous reviews I am a big fan of Clarins and have returned to the fold like the prodigical daugther after a moment of cost cutting and foray into cheaper alternatives. Upon returning to Clarins, for my skins sake not my wallets, I have found lots of new products in their range that I have been trying out. I have been fortunate that my partner's mum was fan of Clarins but has moved over to Estee Lauder but for some reason didn't use her Clarins stuff up first so lots of things have made it my way as she's been having a clear out. You won't laugh will you? Promise? OK, then, I'll tell you what happened. Well, first I'd better give you a bit of background. I had this most wonderful salon treatment . My skin was cleansed, toned, nourished and sent home looking, and feeling, ten years younger. There were two snags : I couldn't afford it on a regular basis, and it was a bit time-consuming, so I enquired about the DIY version. Exfoliate! We are all told that to keep our skin looking fresh and young we should exfoliate to remove dead cells and leave our complexions looking brighter. The theory is good but what about those of us with sensitive skin? Who come out in a rash if we even walk past the cheap cosmetics in Boots? And what if we don't like rubbing our faces with what sometimes feels like a handful of builders cement? It's true that your complexion "glows" after such treatment, but the same could probably said if we rubbed our faces hard with a dry loofah!! But it doesn't mean it's a good idea to do so!
