... high heaven! I tend to use this in the shower to wash my face and it always seems to get in my eyes even when trying to avoid them. I am told by the sales rep at the counter that all the foaming cleansers are soap based and they will ALL sting your eyes, even the one for sensitive skin. they have just brought out some new foaming cleansers but these all have soap in - so there is no solution if you don't like stingy eyes. Thirdly, because it stings your eyes there is no chance of getting the worst of your eye makeu...more

Premium Review Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser: Functional Facecare (1209 words)

?Clarins laboratories gather doctors, biologists and cosmetologists all working in synergy around the same charter of quality: always favouring natural ingredients, using the highest quality plant extracts in their most effective concentration, developing textures that are both pleasurable to use and perfectly absorbed by the skin? Perhaps this is why Clarins was my mum?s favourite brand for a number of years? It certainly sounds impressive, so when my mum bought me several products from the Clarins range a couple of years ago I was suitably chuffed. One of the products she bought me was this ?Gentle Foaming ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A lovely cleanser (356 words)

I tried this cleanser a couple of weeks ago when Clarins were offering mini samples of their skin care range and I liked it so much that I bought a full size one. I use the Normal or Combination skin version, which contains extract of cottonseed to soften the skin and gypsophilia to create a gentle foam when lathered. I find that you only need a pea sized amount of the cleanser- I wet my face first with warm water then gentle massage the cleanser across my whole face. I wear light make-up and I find that this cleanser i strong enough to remove all of this. I then remove the cleanser with a damp muslin cloth. I also use this on my eyes to remove eye ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser: Amazingly Clean! (501 words)

I have a real dislike for cleansers, and I adore my baby wipes. I received a sample of the Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser and figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try - after all a little sample tube would last no time and I'd be straight back to the wipes. Oh, how wrong I was. This cleanser is AMAZING. I would recommend it to anyone, everyone and their mother! I was given my sample in Fenwick and bought my full size tube there too. Clarins is also available online and in House of Fraser. A 125ml tube set me back just under £15, and I would be a liar if I said it lasted ages because in all honesty, it doesn't. You do have to use a fair bit (20p size at ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Face like a babies bum (255 words)

I haven't really ever had problems with my skin until I reached 30! It was almost as if something changed overnight. I used to buy a variety of products depending on how much spare money I had or what mood I was in. Somehow the skin on my face became oily in places and very dry in others, I couldn't understand what was going wrong. Was this the start of my middle age creeping in? I had beauty treatments and always felt that they would try to sell what ever product their compnay was advertising that week. So I took it upon myself to visit the beauty counter at John Lewis. You normally see the women who were coated in make up or smothered in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser: Great cleanser! (184 words)

The best cleanser around! I use this cleanser everyday. I started with the version for normal skin but noticed it really stung my eyes so switched to the version for sensitive skin and it's great! I've tried quite a few other cleansers and nothing works quite as well as this Clarins cleanser. I don't usually wear a lot of make-up but occasionally wear a bit more for a night out and this cleanser shifts every tract of it including mascara. It is a bit pricey compared to some cleansers but I do think it's worth it. The cleanser is quite rich so you don't need to use a lot and it does last. I usually only have to buy one every three ...  Read the complete review
