Advantages: Leaves your lips looking very luscious and kissable

Disadvantages: For some it may be too expensive

The last time l visited my local beauty salon, was the day prior to a friend’s wedding, therefore l was ripe for selling products too! My local salon specialises in selling Clarins products and treatment. I needed a new lipstick and must admit to loving lip-gloss – big, wet, shiny lips – TRES SEXY! I had looked at the “ROGUE LAQUE” lip glaze before, but had never purchased it. This time l did! The bottle is 5ml and cost me £12.

~~~PACKAGING~~~
The lip glaze comes in the distinctive read and gold Clarins box. I think it is based around rose petals. Even the box emanates elegance and expense and luxury. The bottle is tiny. On a first glance it may well look like a nail varnish bottle to you. It has a tall gold top which houses a lip brush and then a tiny pot to home the lip glaze. I love it personally – it’s dinky and sweet. I choose the colour 03, which is a deep red/brown.
~~~THE PRODUCT~~~

On the Clarins box it states:
“A rich and fluid, full coverage lip colour that dresses lips with a high lip gloss to deliver a radiant and brilliant finish. The specially designed brush makes it easy to apply.”

So – is this a true picture of the product?

Yes, ok it is mainly marketing speak and its flowery, but in essence l would agree. When you first open the bottle and look at the glaze consistency – it is rich – not watery yet not gloopy either, its sumptuous. On application, it feels creamy (which is strange for a lip-gloss) it’s not sticky.

~~~LASTABILITY~~~
You do have to continuously reapply coverage – it is a lip-gloss at the end of the day and so prone to leaving thick traces on glasses or cups and so on.
The ‘ROUGE LAQUE’ range comes in a wide variety of colours to suit all skin tones. I would say that even though £12 may seem pricey it does seem to last quite a while
as with most Clarins products.
~~~OVERALL~~~

I love my lip glaze and would encourage anyone who is considering purchasing it to do so.

~~~THE TECHNICAL BITS~~~
 Produced by Clarins, Paris – 92200 Neuilly, France
 It has an anti-pollution complex
 It is hypoallergenic
 Ingredients include: vegetable oil, citric acid and sorbic acid
Well reviewed. I admit to a dislike of wearing lip gloss, even though I am never without my lipstick. My mouth feels 'frayed' without it and I can't speak!
What more can you write about lip gloss? Oh, I hate sharing a glass with a girl who has lip gloss on - ugh! At least my gf avoids the stuff :) Steve
