I often treat myself to a Clarins facial or massage and after the treatment they always ask if they can help you with any skin concerns you might have or recommend some products which might help your skin. At the last treatment I had I told the therapist I was concerned about the spots I keep getting on my chin and wondered if there was anything they recommended. Surprise surprise there was a Clarins product that would help me and it was called Stop Imperfections Locales or Blemish Control.

The product comes in a box and contains two 5ml glass tubes. They have a white plastic screw top cap which removes to reveal a metal ball at the top. When you roll this over the spot area it releases a small amount of the product right on the area where it is needed. The product is a clear liquid and drys into the skin quite quickly and does not leave any marking on your skin. There is only a very faint smell and a nice change to the very chemical smelling spot treatments.

The product is kind to your skin as it contains natural ingredients rather than harsh chemicals like many spot treatments. There are lots of natural active ingredients which work in several ways to help your skin these include White Nettle, Zinc, Witch Hazel, Allantonin and Vitamin B6 these work to calm imperfections in the skin, decrease the redness in the area and soothe and soften the skin.

The main downside to this product is that like all Clarins products it is not cheap. It costs around £15 and for that you get the two tubes. You can buy it at Clarins counters in most large department stores, large Boots Stores or online from Clarins.co.uk or some other internet sites.

So does it work? Well it doesn't stop me getting spots, I still get spots on my chin, mainly around the same time each month. I have been using this product regularly now for a while and I have noticed a difference. Although it doesn't stop the spots it does make them a lot easier to manage. I apply the product a couple of times during the day usually around 3 times and just on the actual spot. Because of the dispenser you only need a small amount and can apply it right on the spot and not waste the product on the surrounding area. I find that using the Blemish Control reduces the redness of the spot quite considerably and really calms them down. The spots also disappear quicker when I use it compare to when I don't apply anything to them. Unlike any other spot treatment I have used this product does not dry my skin at all, I think this is due to the natural ingredients used.

I like this product, its not a miracle product by any means but it does work well on my skin. I like the fact that it comes in small tubes meaning you can carry one in your bag and use it at work and still have one at home in the bathroom. For those of you who wear make up you can apply this under or on top of the makeup. If you do wear a lot of foundation it might rub some of it off so you might need to touch up your make up.

Even although I have been applying this daily I still have lots left but if I am still troubled by my spots when I finish it I will certainly buy some more.
