I first tried Clarins Toning Lotion when I received it among a range of free Clarins samples after a facial. It is fairly reasonably priced in my opinion - when you consider that Clarins is one of the top skincare brands - as 200ml costs £14.19 and a bottle will last you for months. You can buy it from the Clarins website or from House of Fraser or Fenwick. I would advise you not to buy it online unless you have already tried it as it is better to discuss your skin type with an assistant to ensure you buy products that are right for you. Also, Clarins assistants are usually very good at giving you a free sample to take home and try before you purchase a full ... Read the complete review

Clarins do two toners : one for dry to normal skin, and one for oily or combination skin. They are both based on plant extracts, although there is a higher proportion of the extracts in the dry / normal skin toner. Both also contain Bio-Ecolia which is intended to maintain a normal PH level. I always thought that was what you needed to know before you put rhododendrons in the garden, but apparently it's important for your face as well. Both products are for use in the same way : after cleansing, and before moisturising. They are not a substitute for cleansing, although they do remove any remaining traces of cleanser (they're designed for use with the ... Read the complete review

I first came across this toner when I went for a Clarins facial prior to getting married. The lady applied the lotion warm and I immediately asked what it was because it smelled so delicious and felt so lovely and soothing on my skin. The initial expense is worth paying because you get a good sized bottle, that lasts for ages. I apply it twice a day after cleansing, and you really feel that you have cleaned and refreshed your skin. There is a promotion currently available where you get a red holdall containing full sized cleansing milk and toner and samples of day and night time moisturisers for £22, bargain if you ask me! ... I have evil skin, I admit it. I lavish it with lovely products like the new Clarins toning/cleanser lotion with orange peel extracts and it laughs. Seriously though, I have mildly oily, mildly spotty skin especially at certain times of the month. I thought the cleanser which advertises itself as a good makeup remover and facial cleanser that you don't even have to wash off and that will clear your pores and brighten your skin was the one for me. The product appears to be composed of two liquids, one more oily than the other, so it sits on top. You shake the bottle and the two mix. You then squirt it onto a cotton pad and wipe over your face. My makeup was ... Read the complete review

Clarins lead the world market on good natural products to cleanse and tone the skin and once you start using them you do not change. When I first started to use clarins toner I honestly expected it was going to be one of those bottles I ended up throwing in the drawer with the rest of the rubbish I've bought - Not so! It smells nice - is totally natural with plant extracts which help to create a lovely clean skin and without any harm or harshness at all. It feels gorgeous when first applied after cleansing, it removes all the dead skin and debris from the surface and you find yourself touching your face to enjoy the lovely fresh feel it ...
