Advantages: Encourages a thorough skincare discipline; good quality products

Disadvantages: A little on the pricey side! But you get what you pay for.

I have been a regular user of the Clinique 3- step system for at least 10 years now! I can recommend its use like that of another reviewer- alongside other products such as dabs of a richer moisturiser especially across the upper cheek area (where my skin, for example, needs more 'juice'!). I still find the soap/ wash gel and exfoliator indispensable to my daily routine, however. I recently exchanged the 'purple' exfoliator (no.2) for the 'pink' one (no.3), as the Clinique lady suggested that I try alternating these as the skin apparently becomes used to the exfoliating qualities of one level. I can't say that I have noticed a huge difference between the two; I sense that it is 'softer' on my skin than no. 2, which is no bad thing since I still get dry skin across my cheekbones. I would advise experimenting with different levels across the product range and DEFINITELY replacing the ordinary moisturiser with an alternative which incorporates at least a factor 15 sunscreen. Clinique would advise that there is a sunscreen product in their range which needs to be added on top; however, the less expensive, more practical alternative to that suggestion is just to buy another moisturiser with that protection built in.

Summary: I recommend this after having used it continuously for 10 years!
