Clinique All About Eyes
by beautyaddict101
After trying various drug store eye creams and being very disappointed I decided to up my game and go for a Clinique eye cream, in this case you do get what you pay for!
Clinique is widely available online, in all department stores and in most Boots stores aswell so it's pretty easy to get hold of.
THE ... CLAIMS:
* Lightweight eye cream diminishes the appearance of eye puffs, darkness and fine lines.
* Non-creep, cream/gel formula actually helps hold eye makeup in place
MY EXPERIENCE:
I'll start by saying this is my favourite eye cream to date, it definately deserves all the hype and awards! In the winter months everyones skin suffers, and my under-eye area was definately in need of some moisture. It was definately the weather and NOT all those late night Christmas drinks I swear! Straight away I noticed the difference, those dry patches disappeared along with any puffyness and darkness under the eyes! I applied it morning and night and found it soaked in nicely and didn't interfere with my make-up application. It is very lightweight and non-greasy.
PACKAGING:
It comes in a small clear container with a silver lip, very simple as all Clinique products tend to be. I like this, it's classy and not too over the top.
HOW TO USE:
* Use morning and night after 3-Step Skin Care
* With ring finger, apply sparingly to entire eye area using a gentle patting motion.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
This eye cream comes in two sizes:
15ml for £24.00
30ml for £39.00
I really do recommend this product. It's pricey but worth it! It takes such a tiny amount of product that the small container does last a long time! GO FOR IT! Read the complete review |

Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss
by beautyaddict101
I receieved a sample-sized superbalm in a Clinique gift set in the colour 'Grapefruit'. I've since read this product has won an Elle beauty award. I wasn't as impressed as Elle obviously!
Clinique is widely available in Boots and all department stores. I would recommend when purchasing from Clinique you keep an eye out for the ... 'bonus time' deals.
THE CLAIMS:
* lip balm with a colourful twist
* Gorgeous colours treat your most undermoisturised skin to helpings of soothing shine
* Instantly relieve dryness, protect with antioxidants and more
MY EXPERIENCE:
I love lip gloss! I've tried so many and this just didn't stand out for me. I'm grateful I received it as a freeby and didn't part with £14.50 for it...it just isn't worth it. It is a lip balm yes but the colourful twist?! There wasn't any colour it was basically clear. It gave a nice shine but was a bit slimey on the lip. It didn't last long and I wasn't impressed with the taste either, it was a very odd plasticy taste. It did a good job of moisturising my lips but thats about it. It is availabe in 8 shades and although I've only tried one I feel like it wouldn't make much difference what shade you chose, the colour is very weak. I found it more useful to apply it over the top of a lipstick to add shine.
THE PACKAGING:
It comes in a clear plastic tube with a plastic cap. I'm not a fan of lipgloss in tubes as I find them very messy and wasteful. I also find you cannot get the precision with them that you would get with a wand.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
It costs £14.50 for a 15ml tube and as you've probably guessed I wouldn't repurchase especially for £14.50. I only had a sample-size so it didn't last long I don't know how long a 15ml tube would last. I generally like Clinique products but this was disappointing. Read the complete review |

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion
by beautyaddict101
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.
A moisturising lotion designed by Clinique to be used as part of their 3-step skincare routine.
1. Cleanse
2. Tone
3. Moisturise
THE CLAIMS:
helps duplicate the moisture naturally occuring in the skin to provide comfort and balance ... to your skin.
WHAT I'VE FOUND:
I'll start by saying I didn't go out and choose this product myself, it was part of a 'bonus time' gift set I recieved after purchasing some other items from Clinique. I think 'bonus time' is a wonderful idea, it's basically a deal that's on every so often where upon purchasing usually two items from Clinique you recieve a gift set with some sample-sized products in. It's a great way of trying new things you wouldn't necessarily choose for yourself and occasionally you find a gem (hence this review!)
This product comes in both a lotion and a gel form, since trying the lotion I've also tried the gel but I'll do a separate review for that! This particular lotion is designed for dry to very dry skin which isn't really me, I'm more oily/combination. I decided to use this at night throughout the winter months as my skin was in need of a bit more moisture then.
My favourite thing about this lotion is the texture, despite being intended for drier skin it has a very light consistancy and is not greasy at all. It settles into the skin nicely and I was pleasantly surprised as to how it improved my skin, my skin feels smoother and definately more moisturised but not in an oily/greasy way.
THE PACKAGING:
The product comes in a small clear bottle, the product is pale yellow. It comes in both a pour and pump type bottle. The pump bottle is definately better, I find when pouring the product out you waste a lot and with this product a little goes a long way! As with all Clinique products the packaging is very simple but I like that, not too gimicky, it's to the point.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
The product comes in two sizes:
£17.00 for the 50ml cap bottle.
£29.50 for the 125ml pump bottle.
It's such a lovely product to use and makes such a different to the skin I'd say it's worth the splurge especially as you don't need much of it, therefore it lasts a long time. I'd definately repurchase this, well done Clinique! Read the complete review |
