Clinique Airbrush Concealer

I have had a couple of samples of this Clinique airbrush concealer over the years in their Bonus time offers and online deals. I use it very sporadically as it is not an integral part of my make-up regime, but I do take it with me on a night out for touching up my problem areas.

The concealer comes in the typical stylish Clinique packaging, a beige and green cardboard box that holds the concealer pen and small information booklet inside. The Clinique branding is across the box and a product description.

The concealer itself looks very much like a felt tip pen, being a long plastic tube (about 12 cm length and 1 cm diameter) with lid. The pen is a light beige colour and I have to say not the most exciting looking Clinique product I have ever bought. The lid is a nice silver colour with a pull on and off opening system, down the side of the pen is the Clinique branding.

Inside the lid is the concealer applicator, which is again much like a soft felt tip pen nib, with lovely white (before first use) soft bristles. To release the product you twist the end of the pen - opposite end to the bristles - once or twice until the concealer liquid comes through. On the first use you have to twist the pen quite a few times to get the liquid coming through, but once you have got it flowing the fewer turns the better or you will end up with huge globules on the end of the pen!

As I said I got a couple of samples of this as part of a number of special offers and I did not get a choice in shades but ended up with the one that would suit my skin the best, 01 Fair. There are three shades available - 01 Fair, 02 Medium and 04 Neutral Fair. This is suitable for all skin types.

This is a liquid concealer which you can apply over bare skin or over foundation, it is meant as a light reflective make-up and cover up pen that hides/disguises dark circles and blemishes. I use this mainly when I am on a night out and need a quick fix up without having to take my foundation out with me.

Generally I will put a small amount under my eyes and around my nose to even out my skin tones. The liquid is very light and delicate which makes application and blending very simple and swift. The brush applicator is perfect for applying a dab of the concealer and then you can just rub it in gently with your fingertips. I find it a really discreet and easy way of topping up and refreshing my face. Its name is very much suited to what it does, gives a quick airbrushed special effect to your make-up.

Though I have never gone out to buy this product it is not because I do not like it, quite the contrary I think it is great, I just haven't run out of it yet as I don't need to use a huge amount at a time. It's probably a good job for the price at £17 for 1.5 ml of concealer it is quite pricey, however it has a long lifespan and is a very good quality product from Clinique, as ever. Available at Clinique counters and online at Clinique.co.uk.

Thanks for reading :D
