Advantages: Good coverage, blends well, doesn't feel heavy

Disadvantages: Has a slight tendency to separate sometimes

I have never got on well with foundations as I find I can never blend it properly and they feel too heavy on my skin. I started to use Clinique Almost Makeup after discovering the 3 step skin care range, and I highly rate it. It's basically a little heavier than tinted moisturiser but gives more coverage than ones I've used in the past, it blends in really nicely and the colour is perfect (I'm very pale and find even the lightest shade in most makeup ranges come out orange on me!). It comes in 6 shades ranging from very fair to deep (for olive skin) and is available from department stores like Debenhams and House of Fraser.

I really like that it stands on the lid, so there's no shaking the tube to get the last bits out, and it lasts for a long time (I find around 6 months and I use it almost every day). It also stays on the skin for longer than most tinted moisturisers so I still have make up at the end of the day! The product also contains antioxidants and SPF 15 sun protection, and is oil and chemical free for sensitive souls.

It costs around £19 for a tube which does sound expensive, but as I've mentioned it lasts for a long time and the quality is so good I feel it's well worth it. The only slight complaint I have with it is that it occasionally separates (usually if I've stored it on it's side), but shaking it up sorts it out.

All in all, it's the best foundation/tinted moisturiser I've used!

Summary: More expensive than your average foundation but the quality makes it well worth it.
