... not ropey~ When my parcel arrived from Ebay I knew instantly it was my soap as I hadn't ordered anything else for a while so I eagerly opened the packaging. My soap was housed in a papery/card wrapping and after removing this outer layer I was presented with what appeared to be an ordinary looking bar of soap. After examining it further I found though it appeared to be a creamy off white colour at first in certain lights it did have an 'antibacterial look' to it as there was a green hue to the bar. Apart from saying ...more

I don't normally get spots, but when I do it really shows! I have quite pale skin and because I only really get one at a time it's like a blot on the landscape! If I had lots it would just blend in...oh well I shouldn't complain! I bought a bottle of Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clear Blemish Gel with a particular blemish in mind. I felt a spot coming on just above my lip-the worst kind-so I rushed out and bought this! This is priced at £9.50 for 15ml, it's not cheap! That works out as a whopping £63.33 per 100ml!! For that "bargain price", you get a tiny bluey-green bottle with the famous Clinique logo proudly stamped on ...  Read the complete review

After buying a Clarins lip balm a while ago the lady on the counter tried her best to get me to spend more money (as they do) by insisting that Clarins beauty soap was exactly what I needed for my skin. Having already decided that there was no way I was going to pay £13 for a small circular bar of soap I declined politely and headed home to see if I could perhaps get it cheaper on good old Ebay. Although I did find the same bar costing £7 what caught my eye was actually a similar product by Clinique - 'Anti Blemish Solutions Antibacterial Soap For Face and Body' (phew!) costing just £4 for a 150g bar, normally costing around the £18 mark from what I had seen ...  Read the complete review

I didn't tend to use Soap on my face all that much in the past as I used to find that it would dry my Cheeks out more than what they already were, but when I was recommended that this would help with my bad skin then I thought I would give it a try. The person that recommended it also had spot prone skin so figured if they felt it was good then perhaps it would be. I got the 100g bar of this for £13. Perhaps a bit expensive for a bar of Soap, but this is a brand named product and the price is quite average for this brand. This just looks like your average bar of Soap. Looks like the picture so a smooth bar of Soap with the Clinique branding engraved ...  Read the complete review

The clinique brand is one of my favourites, i have had many of their products over the years. I never really suffered with spots or acne until i was pregnant with the twins. My skin changed and i expected to be glowing however not me the more hormonal i got more spots appeared. I was already suffering from antenatal depression during pregnancy. To cheer me up my family and friends all chipped in and my mum presented me a huge gift basket filled with all kinds of goodies this was where i got my bar of clinique acne solutions cleansing soap from. I have bought a bar of the soap since receiving the first one and i bought it direct from the clinique website. ...  Read the complete review

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Antibacterial Facial & Body Soap: Spot the difference... (693 words)

I recently decided to wage war on the spots that plague my back and face from time to time. I suppose I'm fortunate not to get too many of them, but the ones I do get more than make up for their quantity by being particularly stubborn- more like large, red lumps under the skin than little pimples. Not at all pleasant. Perhaps because of the particular 'brand' of spot I suffer from, I'd had very little success in the past using cheap and cheerful face washes and creams. So when the latest batch of spots arrived out of the blue, I decided it was time to try something a little pricier, in the hope that it would pack a more powerful punch. I'd heard great things ...  Read the complete review
