I use a lot of Clinique makeup for my everyday use and have been using their foundations for many years now. I previously used their Stay-True makeup foundation but unfortunately last time I went in to buy it they had stopped producing it and recommended this Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Makeup as a replacement. I made sure she tested it on my skin first and checked out the look and feel of the makeup before I purchased a bottle.

Looks

The foundation comes in the typical Clinique green cardboard box with instructions included. The actual makeup is held in an oval plastic container that is two thirds see-through. The other third is the cap which is metallic silver coloured and screws securely onto the foundation container. Inside the cap at the top is a pointed plastic plug that goes into the top of the foundation nozzle ensuring none of it spurts out into your makeup bag.

The foundation itself is a nice and runny consistency (though not at all watery). It is still firm but does not go or feel cloggy during or after application. My shade is 'Fresh Neutral' which is quite light beige in colour.

Application

The liquid foundation is removed from the container by squeezing gently; the end where the cap goes on has a small hole where the foundation comes out of. I put my required amount straight onto my foundation brush and place some on my cheeks forehead and chin, before covering my face. A little of this foundation goes a long way in my opinion. About a large pea sized amount will give me a good and even coverage over my entire face. The makeup doesn't dry quickly during application which enables you to blend it really well over all your cracks and crevices!

The foundation glides over your skin brilliantly and the viscosity of this liquid is perfect for a nice thin foundation layer that doesn't feel heavy or clogging on your skin. You can feel that your skin is able to breathe through the makeup. I have been using this consistently for over two months now and it is plainly obvious to me that it has really helped my skin. The anti-blemish ingredients obviously work very well with my skin. I never had bad skin but every so often I would have a large break out but this has thus far prevented that happening and that is another reason why I am very pleased with this product.

This makeup is for oily skin predominately, which I suffer from unfortunately. This really helps to dry out my skin yet leaves it moisturised still. I do not have to reapply or blot my face during the day this foundation soaks up the oil in my skin really well.

It is always advisable to test their foundation colours before purchasing, not only to get the right match but a good feel for the product, especially when it costs £22 for a 30ml bottle.
