I am a big Clinique make up fan and I also use quite a lot of their beauty products too such as the clarifying lotions and the facial products. Just recently with a newborn and a toddler I have started to notice dark circles under my eyes and that tired haggard look. It's not the prettiest sight when I look in the mirror and I think I just look really tired and drained and I'm only in my early thirties and don't want to look middle aged yet so I decided to do something about it. I had read about this eye cream before so armed with some Debenhams vouchers I decided to give it a go. I like Clinique products and trust how they work on my skin and even though this eye cream was quite expensive I decided to give it a go. A small 15ml pot cost me £24 which is quite expensive but so far I am fairly pleased with the results.
Clinique say that this is a densely hydrating cream which lifts and firms the appearance around the eyes. It builds cushion into time-thinned skin and brightens the eye area. Like I've said above the cream comes in a little pot with a screw top lid so its easy to get into and easy to apply. The cream is white and is fairly thick and has quite a rich texture to it. I almost has a kind of whipped like consistency to it and when you put some on your fingers it stays on there even if you turn your finger upside-down. I use my fingertips and just dab it underneath my eye lids and wait for it to soak it. You can feel it under your eyes for a little while and its not the quickest at soaking it but it does not leave your eyes sticky like some eye gels I have tried. You only need to use a little bit as a little goes a long way and I would not recommend rubbing the cream in as this area is delicate anyway and you don't need to further irritate the skin.
You are directed to use the cream twice a day, morning and night and in the morning I have no problem using this under my make up. So, what have my results been like? Well I can't say that my dark circles have cleared up any but the area under my eyes does look a bit firmer and a bit brighter which I like and this in turn brightens up my face so that is good, I think I will just have to stick to makeup for my dark circles or carry on the search for a miracle cream.
