Advantages: Cleans skin, leaves it soft and smooth.

Disadvantages: Big investment.

The Clarifying Lotion is the middle part of Clinique's 'three step skincare' collection. You're supposed to use it after the soap facial wash, and before the moisturiser. Number 2 is for combination skin, which I suffer from, constantly having oily sections AND dry patches on my face. This product is expensive, costing me £28 for the big bottle. But it does last a long time, so on a cost per use basis, it is quite cheap.

I use this product every morning and evening, and before I put make up on if I am going on a night out, as it takes away any oil, and makes my skin soft and supple. The smell is quite strong at first, but you do get used to it, and it's not unpleasant.

I really like the way it makes your skin tingle, as you can feel the product working, and I like the way it makes your skin smooth and matte. After usage, you can see the grime it's taken off your face, on the cotton wool, and it's amazing! You wouldn't have known you were that dirty!

You should use this product after you have taken your make up off, if you are not going to use the first step, and do NOT use on your eyes, it stings like crazy!

I would recommend this to anyone who has combination skin and wants smooth and supple skin, and doesn't mind spending a bit of money on it!

Summary: This is a great product and is really good for your skin!
