Billed as the 'difference maker' this toning lotion is meant to be used as part of the overall Clinique skincare package, but for me works perfectly as a standalone product. When swept over the skin it removes dirt, impurities and excess skin cells - and the results are right there on the cotton pad. I was amazed at how clean my skin felt after using it, even when I used it after thoroughly cleansing my face first - it also smooths the skin, almost as if it has removed a layer of dry cells that you weren't even aware were there. However, I would agree with the points made by other reviewers - there are 4 different 'grades' of this lotion and its important to pick the right version to suit your skin, otherwise you may find it too harsh for your skin type. Get some free samples of each type from your local Clinique counter first to ensure you try them all to find the right one for you.

Summary: Really does make a difference if you pick the right lotion for your skin type
