Advantages: Smooth Skin, Less Kicks and Cuts, Closer shave

Disadvantages: Price (Very Expensive for regular use), Difficult to use after a few days growth

Beauty companies are bringing out new men’s skin care products all the time, to fill a new growing market. The modern man wants to look good, and they don’t mind paying for it. Clinique has brought has brought out its own for men range. This is a designer range of men’s skincare products in plain manly packaging, with a designer price tag to match. It is quite a large range and includes moisturisers, eye creams, face wash and even soap.

Clinique for men is my hubby's Favourite Shaving Cream; he loves it (so do I), no more razor rash with this cream. Well what made him try it, well it was a gift and he liked it so much he kept using it. I must admit that for all its benefits it is expensive at £8.50 for a 125ml tube, but it will last for a month. Its does make a good gift though; you can get gift packs from most stores for around £20 - £25. There are various gift sets, with slightly different contents; most contain the shave cream, plus post shave healer (around £16 a bottle in stores) and M Moisturiser.

Clinique shave cream comes in a grey tube with white writing very plain, but will appeal to most men. The product itself is a white cream that looks like moisturiser, an has no detectable odour. It seems to moisturise your skin while you shave. It allows you to have a closer shave and results in less irritation and a closer longer lasting shave. Although I am told (by my Hubby) that, this product can be difficult to use if you a couple of days growth.

Take it from a woman it works, I can always tell when my man has used this, his skin is softer, smoother and more kissable. No more spots or rashes no matter how often you shave and less of those nasty razor cuts. It’s also worth investing in the post shave healer, at around £16 a 75ml bottle it is expensive, but this will last around 6 months. Helps heal cuts quickly and cleanly. My hubby has tried all sorts on his razor cuts and this really works.

As this product is a cream rather than foam and allows you to have a closer save with less nicks. It is very difficult to find other shave creams on the market and compared to shave foams and Gels this product is very expensive, but compared to other creams the price is about average. Compared to other shave creams it seems to perform better and in some cases even slightly cheaper, as some brands retail at around £12.50. We are constantly on the look out for a similar product at a better price so will let you know if we find anything.

On the downside the Clinique for men range is expensive, but both my man and I think that the benefits outweigh the expense. One other problem is that it is too expensive for us ladies to steal to use on our legs, so unfortunately I have to buy my own. I would recommend that every woman buy this for her man. If the price tag is stopping you trying it, it is worth buying a tube just to use for getting ready for going out, other special occasions and Holiday, and remember if your going on holiday it is cheaper to purchase it at the airport. It is a very good product and would have been a 5 star product if not for the price.

My DH uses the cheapest stuff from Aldi, calims is better than any Gillette and would probably faint if I bought him something for that amount of money! However, he never seems to cut himself anyway so why waste money that can be better spent on my bath oils and foams LOL.
