One of the first items I had from Clinique was the Clinique Deep Cleansing Mask as I have always used face masks and as soon as I began to discover the quality of Clinique decided it was time to see what there face masks were like. It costs around £15 for a 100 ml bottle but if applied correctly even with once a week usage it lasts really well.

The mask comes in a squeeze tube very simply remove the lid and squeeze a little on to your hand and then apply to face as usual with all face masks avoiding eyes and mouth. The mask itself is clay based as it is designed for oily skin so it is really thick yet smooth white mixture. It comes out really easy so you have to be careful with the bottle as it can tend to fly out of it and as only a very thin layer is need for it work you only need a small amount to start of with and then keep adding if needed.

The mixture spreads rather easily over my face and once on it feels rather heavy and sticky at first. After around 30 seconds that heavy feeling comes away as it dries it gets lighter and lighter and you can feel it tightening on the skin.

You then leave it on for longer amounts of times depending on the state of your skin. If it is just a weekly face mask for general everyday skin I only need to leave it on for 5 minutes to see results my skin looks fresher cleaner and pours a little more closed. If I have had a break out of black heads then I live it on for around 10 minutes and find that once I do this my skin looks a lot better and almost all the blackheads have disappeared.

I have combination skin so often worry that a mask will dry some parts out too much while dealing with the oily part of my skin but this works really well to balance out the whole of the skin tone. When it comes to washing the mask off it does so very easily I just splash my face with warm water and it rinses off very easily without any bother.

I find that once a week treatment with this mask leaves my face lovely and smooth and I can then use it for any break outs I may have. Each and every time it works just as well as it first did leaving my face refreshed and pours tighter.I really love this face mask but I am coming to the last of my bottle.

This leads me to my only downside it has now been discontinued and I am not looking forward to the idea of having to find a replacement very soon. I would recommend this to anyone as it is a fantastic face mask for general use and emergency's.
