Advantages: It sinks in well and doesn't leave a greasy shiny film

Disadvantages: smells like kids paint

Wow- on drawing this up to write my review, I can see it will set you back around £14 from cheap smells and feel unique (both internet sites) which I read from other reviews are worth visiting. So don't go to Boots where it costs nearly double that!

I have to admit, I didn't pay for mine. I was given freebies. One was part of a "bonus time" campaign they had on at Boots where you bought two products and walked away with what was apparently £50 worth of products, spread out in 7 miniatures. The I was also given a 7 day sample of the 3 step routine which also included a generous sample of the moisturiser.

I was really willing my normal moisturiser to go down fast as I had a rule with myself to use the old one up before I started this one, and I had been hyped up by the sales women at Clique who told me it was a cult product, all the starts and celebs loved it, it was able to give results in a very short amount of time- and help my skin look radiant. I don't yet have mega fine line problems so I am guessing this was what they were hoping would have me coming back for more!

On cleansing my face, I decided to try the tubed version first. (I had two samples, one was in a squarish pot, the other was in a tube.) What came out was a bright yellow- well that's different I guess... it wasn't as firm as I thought it would be, its really very liquidised, not as thick in consistency as I usually prefer, but at least easy to apply and spread over my face.

On application, its cool- as its so thin in consistency, its not as easy to be warmed up on application- so if you like me store all your cosmetics in the fridge, a word of warning, don't.

It does glide on easily, not especially easily- no more easy then anything else I have used (Body Shop, Clarins, Benefit, Nuxe, Nivea..etc) and did take a few seconds to dry. But did sink in well (unlike Body Shop Vitamin E, Nivea...) and didn't leave a greasy film over my face. It also did not sting when I got a little in my eye, in fact it didn't hurt at all really, just blurred my vision and got annoying.

But the smell! Now Clinique are well famed for having no scent or perfume in their products. Though on every product there are some scents, even though they are quite mild, they are quite nice. But this cream? Odd! I can only say it reminds me of the powder paints that you would have used at preschool or junior school- you know, the type where the teachers would take a spoonful of powder and mix it with water to create the paint? Well this cream smells EXACTLY like that! So I don't know how grown up that males me feel! I defiantly didn't feel luxurious which is how I would expect to feel if I were to have spent around £25 on the cream!
I actually went to the mirror to double check that yes this was really moisturiser, and no, no one was playing a mean trick on me. Yup, this is it, face cream that smells like powder paint.

The next day? Well my skin was OK. But not dramatically different. It was soft, but then its always soft, its my skin, its supposed to be soft. It didn't feel greasy, the cream had sunken in unlike some of the other brands of cream I have tried in the past (and I hate to say it, the cheaper brands of cream I have used). But my skin didn't look particularly radiant, I still wore foundation to even out my tone and I didn't really see anything especially different then if I had used my all time favourites; Nuxe, Clarins or Origins. In fact in comparison to 'Origins Perfect World', it falls very far short. (But is cheaper in comparison).

So will I be buying this again? Nope, I don't see that its making enough of a difference to warrant me spending that much money on it. I don't like the smell and I don't like the consistency. I wouldn't turn it down if it was given to me as a freebie again though....

Summary: Not as good as others I have tried in the same price bracket.

I love this. Have used it every day for years and rarely get spots and skin feels really smooth.

Ah I love this! I don't really agree with you about the smell though I couldn't say what it does smell of.

This is an excellent product! It's a shame it didn't work for you.
