Advantages: Quality, well respected product
Disadvantages: Didn't work for me unfortunately
Dramatically different!
Clinique is one of the world's largest suppliers of prestige makeup and fragrance products. It was launched by Estee Lauder Companies in August 1968. I have always viewed Clinique as an upmarket product and one that is known to have a very good reputation. It is more expensive than other makeup and skin care ranges but I always hear good things about it and that it actually works so sometimes it is worth paying more for something that produces results.
I actually received a bottle of Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing lotion as a sample when I purchased something else from their website. Their marketing ploy obviously worked as it is not something I would have tried by myself but by giving it to a consumer as a "free gift" they introduced someone else to their product who they hoped would then go on and buy a regular bottle of the product.
Clinique call their dramatically different moisturizing lotion a moisture "drink" developed by dermotologists to maintain optimal moisture balance. It is said to soften, smooth and improve the condition and texture of your skin.
I used the lotion as directed. They say to apply twice a day to face and throat all over. The lotion itself is a very distinct yellow colour and quite a thick lotion. Unfortunately for me, I didn't really get on too well with this lotion. I found that it went onto my face ok but I could feel it a while afterwards as if it hadn't all completely rubbed or soaked in properly. Also, I didn't really see an improved difference in my skin in the way it felt or looked which was what I was looking for from this lotion. I know other people who rave about this so I think it's a good product but that it just didn't work for me.
What's good about it is that it does come in different strengths to satisfy different skin types. For example they have very dry/dry combination or combination oily/oily skin formulas so if you have varying skin types this will work for you too.
To purchase the lotion is quite expensive, compared to say Oil of Olay products so you do have to be sure that this is a product that will work for you. I believe in some places Clinique will do a money back guarantee (I saw this statement in a magazine article for some of their products) so it is worth finding out before you purchase. A 50ml bottle costs £15 and a 100ml bottle costs £30. If you want to buy one with a pump action at the top which makes it a little easier to use the product then a 100ml bottle will cost £21.60 and a 125ml bottle will cost £27. For more information I recommend visiting their website www.clinique.co.uk
A good well respected product that unfortunately did not work for me but will hopefully work for you.

- 12/07/09 I'm beginning to believe that Clinique isn't as good as it used to be. There's a lot of hype surrounding their products and I'm caught between Clinque and Clarins now the more I read reviews about them. |

- 10/07/09 It is supposedly one of the better brands - out of my price range mainly though. Shame it didn't work (for you) either at that price . |
